We stayed here for two nights as part of a tour group. Room was clean and a reasonable size with 2 twin beds but not anywhere really to lay down our luggage to get to the contents, except for the bed, There is free wifi and safety deposit box and fridge. Bathroom is ok too. We had a balcony which... More

Stayed here for two nights and was very happy with the hotel. It is clean, comfortable and very well located near shops, restaurants and the metro. There is wifi in the rooms but sometimes it is not that strong and I had to go down to the lobby to get a connection. Overall no complaints.

This hotel is not quite up to standard if you expect real 4star treatment. It is a little bit dilapidated ans some services (wifi) do not work all the time without problems. But the location is very good, near the Moneda palace. The staff is very nice!

Given the trip advisor ranking, I was expecting worse. I stayed here with a group - seems to be poplar with tours. Rooms and bathrooms are clean. Decent size. Wifi works. Dinner in the hotel was satisfactory. Some nearby options for dinner as the hotel itself is well located. Staff are nice. Breakfast selection was fine. Nothing special but no... More

This hotel is in a great location where you can leave its doors and walk, grab a bus, taxi, find a bank, restaurants and shopping. The hotel is clean, the employees polite and helpful. For our stay, breakfast was included. Good value.

The Fundador gave us an upgrade to a junior suite Room 220 as the hotel was full of tour groups. The Room: large,spacious,old-world charm but needed a bit of TLC with gloomy lighting, a faded lounge suite. Mini fridge in lounge room but no water in fridge, coffee machine but no milk, little coffee and no instructions. King sized bed,... More

It was impossible to get any sleep here. Street and alley noise was ridiculous. Our room was tiny, tacky and shabby. Air conditioner did not work at all. Batteries kept falling out of the room safe making it impossible to use. When we asked for help we were told we were too stupid to know how to use it. This... More

This is a large hotel, but it still maintains some good character and is in an excellent location. The rooms are comfortable, though the single rooms are pretty small. Some mold in the shower and a lack of power outlets were my only complaints. Breakfast is okay, but not spectacular.

The room was big, with a really comfortable bed and clean and functional bathroom. However, the air conditioning wasn't efficient (the room got very stuffy, in the end we opened a window), and there are not many conveniences in the room (no kettle, nothing in the mini-bar). We had also requested interconnecting rooms and a cot when we booked, but... More

First time visitor to Santiago and pleased that we were well located in town, walking distance to many sites and shopping/eating areas. This grand old building has charm, but does need a few updates and service was not great - wake up call on first morning did not happen so were were late for a day tour, not a happy... More
