The best thing this hostel has going for it is its location, which is perfect for day time exploring, though not great for walking alone at night. (It's the party area and has lots of muggings.) If you're traveling in a group this would of course be less of a problem. As for the rooms, I think maybe I just... More

The location is excellent in barrio Bellavista, it's hard to think of a better location to stay in Santiago. Facilities are great and staff is wonderful. Beds were also amazing. The free wifi was fast and reliable. I would love to stay here again sometime.

This place was my least favourite hostel in all of South America. The locker I was given had an eaten apple inside and the bathrooms were super tiny and only cleaned in the morning. On top of that the girl at the desk when we checked in lied to us and said the prices on the internet were the same... More

The hostel was very good. Two blocks away from the metro so you can get anywhere you want very easily. Clean, good lockers, staff was helpful ready to recommend things to do in the area. The wifi was really fast. It's a good place for backpackers from all over the world.

Bellavista hostel was the first of many hostels we stayed in over our five week trip. It was in a great location for all of our site-seeing and had a basic breakfast and dorms. Nothing fancy, did the trick for a basic stay that allowed us to really see Santiago. Two great/cheap restaurants a block away too!

Apart from squeaky floorboards the place was definitely worth staying at and the staff were great help and spoke English. The hostel was in the best location in town for restaurants and bars. It was also very easy to get to the main attractions in santiago, San cristobal hill which was only a few streets away.

Stayed for one night - at sister hostel La Chimba a week before and we decided to change things up. Was really bad. Common areas full of the same garbage from the moment we arrived to the moment we left (pizza boxes, full ash trays, half eaten plates of food etc...) I know this is a party hostel but staff... More
