Service is reasonable but rooms are very, very dated. Seems they were designed by Pinochet himself for his prisoners. It was so tiny there was not even a chair, just two single beds, not even queens. The bathroom was clean but again, unbelievably small. I have never seen such a small hotel room in my life! The gym is horrible,... more

Rooms upfront are much better, those in the back were old if clean. Great breakfasts. Very friendly doormen. But service, esp front desk could be better. Have stayed twice, and they insist on putting me right by the elevators or in poorer rooms. Did change rooms but without a word/comment from them. On last visit, after checking in and while... more

When I say this was the worst hotel ever, I mean it least matched expectations. Although it’s just a mass market hotel chain, Intercontinental has a certain image and status as a reliable four-star and sometimes five-star brand, well below the standards of Four Seasons and Ritz-Carlton, though often above Hilton or Sheraton. This branch of the chain in Santiago... more

The hotel is nicely located in one of the best neighborhoods in Santiago. It is a couple of blocks away from the US Embassy and a couple of blocks away from several restaurants (the good ones are nearby just a short cab ride away). The service is good, and the rooms are very clean. Yes, this hotel has two faces,... more

I enjoyed my stay here. I stayed for approximately 10 days. The complimentary breakfast was excellent....many fruits, breads, meats, and juices. It was sunny and bright in the breakfast area which is a great way for me to start my day. The staff were very attentive although I don't recall many speaking English which did not bother me at all.... more

You cannot beat the location of this hotel. You are right next to some of the best restaurants and pubs and there are so many to choose from. The staff are incredibly friendly and professional. Shout out to Jose and Walter, the doormen. They were so helpful in recommending places to go and places to eat. The rooms are a... more

This was my second time in two years at this hotel. The staff is very professional and the rooms were good. We got a special deal on the rooms, so the pricing was pretty reasonable. Overall I would stay here again. more

Stayed in the Intercontinental of Santiago for three nights during Feb -09. This was my second stay (last one was in Dec -06). We got in early from Paris (10:30) and early check-in was no problem. In fact, front staff were very professional and rapid at all times. Breakfast (1st floor) was good. Would have appreciated coffees and teas for... more

We stayed at The InterContinental in Santiago, Chile for 8 nights. The Concierge, was so very helpful in arranging a couple ... of our side trips. The staff is so eager to be of assistance. The only downside for me was that it was a soft bed. Other than that, everything worked fine. The Bice Restaurant, which has locations around... more
