Very clean hostel with a good crowd. This place seems to attract people that were open friendly. The owner was also genuine and friendly. He organised a BBQ while is was staying there with some of his friends and the people staying in the hostel. It felt like a big share house. This hostel doesn't have a bar so if... More

This place is pretty cool, we had a twin room which was nice, cosy and tidy! Bathrooms are large and cleanish. Breakfast is nice, we had blueberry muffins with yoghurt andcoffee which was lovely! The day we arrived they had a BBQ and everyone in the garden was absolutely wasted at 5pm which wasnt great. Some of them couldnt even... More

This hostel was one of the best I've stayed in so far in South America. The property is a small, homey house with quaint, gated patios surrounding the building, which allows for easy socialization with the other guests. With how the lounges are set up, it's so easy to chat with the other travelers. Moreover, John (the owner) is one... More

I have stayed at this hostel a few times and it is consistently great. Convenient location, fun and helpful staff, beautiful patio... very relaxed environment but also with plenty of energy conducive to meeting people. Always clean and the building itself is beautiful as well.

room was spacious and clean, bed was incredibly comfortable, showers were always hot, and kitchen was well equipped. the hostel also has a nice patio in the back, which was a great place to read and enjoy some sun during the day and to play with their awesome dog Duke. one day all of us guests used the patio to... This hostel was great - sociable and fun without being a crazy party place. Friendly people working there and a great bunch staying, cooked dinners together etc. The communal breakfast is nice and it's small enough that you know most people who are also staying. Everything was clean and worked, warm showers, and a good well-stocked kitchen. It's in a... More

This hostel made my trip to Santiago great. Amanda, the receptionist, is awesome. There is a home-like feeling I did not experience in the other hostels I stayed at. People gather for movies, games, and talks. It was routine for guests to cook together and ask newcomers if they wanted to join in. The owner is present and laid back.... More

Pros: Nice hostel, cosy rooms, friendly volonteer staff, good book exchange and movies to watch in living room, quiet location in walking distance of most attractions. Cons: Breakfast was a bit small for the price, kitchen could be better equipped. Complicated booking process, all over south America we just sent an email to book, here they required you to pay... We booked a private room with private bathroom for our 3 night stay, working off the jet lag from our long haul flight. The hostel is well located in a nice safe neighborhood. It is within 20 mins walking distance of your major sights (and santiago is lovely to walk through with friendly dogs and lots of green spaces), and... More

This was a great place to stay. We were at first a bit worried because the hostal is on a street that no one had heard of, but upon checking in we realized we were in a great part of town, off the busy streets but central to lots of sights. Lovely staff, nice rooms and very clean bathrooms!
