We stayed here for 3 nights after being recommended this hostel. The hostel itself is a really nice building and garden area (with a pool, although it was a bit too cold to use it in June). The location is ok, it's about a 10 minute walk to Downtown but there isn't too much in the other direction. Still plenty... More

This is a huge building which was renovated and brought back to something of its former glory. The local staff were very helpful but there are also a lot of foreign/travelling staff working there for short periods who treat the place like their home rather than a hostel for everyone. We moved from the dorm to a private room, but... More

Located in Barrio Brasil, this hostel is surrounded by cheap places to eat & drink. The hostel was clean with a nice breakfast and friendly staff and a pool. As it is an old building, it does echo a bit and if your room is near the back then it is best if you like to party as you wont... More

I swang through La Casa Roja twice during my travels in South America and I cant recommend it highly enough. The staff was helpful with great vibes always. The outdoor pool area was an awesome touch to the old style house for good partying or a relaxed night in. Will be back!

We really enjoyed our stay at la casa roja. It's a nice old building undergoing further renovations to make more improvements .. Being an old building like she is, you can hear footsteps down the hall and people chatting away but we were still able to get a good nights sleep . Place was kept clean, a lovely hot cooked... More

The big house enchanted me, the backyard has a pool with bar, you can practice slackline and during the night there's always something going on out there. The vibe of the staff and the company of other travellers made my stay there really fun.

La Casa Roja is in a beautiful part of santiago, the barrio brasil where there are lots of great bars restaurants and cafes. A bit off the beaten path but a very historic area to stay while in Chile's capital. I stayed at Casa Roja and could not believe the beauty of the house and the attention to detail of... More

The room isn't the best and the bathroom either but the kitchen staff is great. The breakfast is delicious but it takes a while to be served. If you have to be on time, wake up earlier. The public places as dinning room are big and great.

I had heard good things about Casa Roja but in my short stay it didn't really do anything for me. The hostel was pretty quiet and there wasn't a lot going on. Didn't rate the location either. I know people who'd stayed here 5 years ago and they were raving about the place. I left after one night and moved... More
