After days of bad weather and finding a good place to stay and eat and where it is quiet, we decided to check out Lodge El Taique. A bit from the road, 8km, but worth the drive. When it's foggy you don't immediately see how great the surroundings are. Don't let it stop you. The lodge is perfectly situated, with... More

The place is run by a very nice French couple who settled in this area. They provide very friendly and good service. Their cooking is excellent and reasonably priced. The view is superb. Inconvenients - even for a lodge, the room and bathroom are smallish and do not afford many facilities to unpack and for placing your toiletries. Above the... More

We got pretty unlucky with the weather, and thus felt a bit short-changed as we didn't get the views. The road to get there (it's quite a long way from Puyehue lake) involves several km of pretty rough hilly gravel roads, which perhaps wouldn't be so bad if we had a 4x4. We could just about make out Lake Rupanco.... More

Stayed for two nights. The scenery was stunning. The place was very calm and the french couple who owned the lodge were good hosts. They could give us good advice what we could visit during our stay. We found the food over-priced, but ok. We liked the included breakfast though. We couldn't pay in american dollars with our card, which... More

First of all, thank you very much for taking time to leave us feedback . We are very happy that you enjoyed your stay at our lodge , its landscapes and meals. Concerning the payment, we are very surprised that you could misunderstand which was to be the final price of the room, as we always try to explain very... More

We found this place by coincidence - and were thrilled. The French owner/chef has made a lovely hotel/home mix and makes everybody feel welcome. The views are spectacular and the food there is wonderful and often local and the prices are very reasonable. We were sorry that we couldn't stay longer.

Mickael is your dedicated and attentive French host who leaves nothing to chance. His joy is to make your stay a wonderful one. The small lodge and it's cabanas have stunning lake and volcano views. Meals are prepared with fresh local engredients on site with French sophistication and panache. The rooms are small but comfortable. Baby Sara will charm and... More

We stayed in February for one night at Lodge El Taique. We were 3 travelers and booked two rooms at the lodge, as a triple room nor cabins were available. We arrived early in the afternoon after driving all day. The place was not easy to find but once we did, what a hidden gem! El Taique has an amazing... More

Located pretty remote the lodge el taique is a small paradise. The owners are very nice and are always around to help the guests with any problem or demands. The restaurant is great and the food is really good cooked. The view from the rooms, living room and the porch are incredible. The beds are great and elevated so you... More

My husband and i spent 2 nights in this lovely hotel. The rooms are small but clean and have a nice view. It is very quiet. It is more a hotel feel than a Bed and Breakfast actually But you get to share with the French owners when they serve good dinners (maybe a bit expensive). I think the only... More

We spent two nights at El Taique Directions provided by the lodge made it easy to find and even the gravel road wasnt too bad. We were warmly welcomed by Michael and Layla, the St Bernard.
