This is one of those properties that students in hospitality school should visit...this is how it's done! Everything excellent, highly organized, exceedingly helpful, well informed, and super friendly staff. Super clean room, great bed, great internet all in a beautifully constructed wood walled rooms. Our room had private bath with super hot water. Perhaps a bit small, but certainly no... More

This B&B is conveniently located next to the Catholic church, just a couple of blocks from busy downtown, enough to avoid the noise of town. Prices are reasonable with both shared and private bath. Breakfast is spartan though adequate. Service and attention are friendly. As with most Chilean B&Bs (hospedajes) of this level, walls are thin. The owners enjoy playing... More

(English comment at the bottom) Sono arrivato a Puerto Varas di di sera senza aver prenotato l'alloggio. Fortunatamente mi sono imbattuto nell'Hostal Estrella De Belen dove Miguel, Sandra e la loro adorabile figlia Belen mi hanno accolto e trattato per 3 giorni come un membro di famiglia. Ambiente pulitissimo e colazione abbondante. Altamente raccomandato. (I arrived to Puerto Varas in... More

The hospedaje is owned and run by a nice couple. We arrived late in the evening and the lady was there to greet us. She showed us to our room and provided suggestions for dinner. The room was small, with a double bed but not much space for our two ruck sacks. We had to put them against the door... More

This hostel is in a very good location, close to town and overlooking a beautiful church. The owners are also extremely friendly and welcoming. However, because the house is constructed from wood, noise does travel. The breakfast is also very average, certainly no fresh bread that is mentioned in some other reviews.

Estrella is a fine upgrade from the typical Chilean hostel. The family running it provides a friendly, comfortable place with just enough amenities. Excellent value for the money. One of us is 6 and the other, a son, is 22, and it suited us both quite well. The rooms are a bit tight, though that is not unusual for the... More

This place deserve to be number 1 purely for the fresh bread at breakfast and the help from Miguel when you arrive. We stayed for 2 nights and found it very pleasant to stay there. The hill up and down gets a bit tiring, but certainly no impossible to do.

I stayed in Estrella de Belén with my husband two nights in May and we found it cozy, clean, comfortable and safe. It's a familiar small place in a great location (it's possible to walk around the downtown). The breakfast was good, better than the other hostals in Chile. Miguel, Sandra and their daughter were very welcoming people. Miguel gave... More

This is an excelent house. Sr. Miguel and his family are very interesting people. The house is very clean and very safe. The bathrooms are large and the house is always "hot" (we need this because P. Varas is a very cold place). I recommend this house to any traveller to this amazing site of the world! F. P. Q,... More
