We could not have been more happy with our choice. The view of the volcano was amazing. The close proximity to Puerto Varas (while at the same time not being in the city) was perfect. The beach seemed really nice (although we did not have time to do a swim). The owner was very sweet and accommodating, the breakfasts were... More

My wife and I stayed 6 nights and Bordemundo; initially 4 and then returned for two more. Javiera was fantastic, so were her breakfasts, views from the cabins as well as their location. The cabins were very clean; however, if you are looking for luxury then this is not your place. We also loved the dogs, sheep, chicken and other... More

Don't expect 5star luxury...these are rustic cabañas and you are in fields of sheep above the lake. Perfect as far as we were concerned. The cabaña was toasty and warm on chilly evenings with a wonderful log burner. We loved the 5 minute walk down to the beach from where we watched amazing colour changes over the Volcan Osorno at... Javiera was an exceptionally gracious host. The property is amazing, the lake is beautiful and the comfort of the fire is a welcomed retreat. The facilities are just perfect, lots of hot water, wifi, Tv with english channels and a full kitchen. Javiera's homemade bread and eggs were a treat to wake up to. An amazing place to get away... We loved our cozy little cabin for three. Javiera is a delightful host and gave us tips on sights and places around puerto Varas. We didn't have a car so walked or taxied to and from town--not a problem at all. The beach is lovely and the water just warm enough to swim. Wish we could have sayed for a... More

The two cabanas my family stayed in were very cozy. The little beach nearby was great and the view of Osorno was awesome! Javiera was very hospitable. Always checking in on us and leaving homemade bread, jelly and other goodies!

The location is absolutly wonderful and is only seconds away from The city. Also the cabins themselves are very cozy and have stunning views! Not even to mention the breakfasts! My husband and I had the privilege to stay at Bordemundo from 11/21/14-11/25/14! The cabanas are cozy with spectacular view of volcanos and access to lovely beach. Javiero served breakfast (delivered to our cabin) each morning. The food was such a delight, as Javiero prepared a variety of delicious homemade dishes each meal. Her personal touches in the cabin made... More

Terrific location. Wonderful, quiet cabana. Our friendly host, Javiera, surprised us with bread, eggs and marmalade-- and was very helpful with advice. Our day trips based on her recommendations were among the best of our visit to Chile. The views of Osorno and the lake are unforgettable. We wish we could be there in the summer some day to swim... this was our favorite place to stay in Chile. Had our own cabin with kitchen, living room, bedroom and bathroom. Even through we got in late the owners were very accommodating and even started a fire for us. They brought us fresh eggs and bread as a gift. Feels very private. 2 min walk down to the gorgeous beach with... More
