Perhaps we caught Perla on a bad day but we didn't feel welcome, in fact felt like a hassle. That feeling extended to the kitchen too when we made our dinner. Breakfast is the average you get in Chile at hostels and guesthouses. Location is great for the ferry terminal although I'd stay in Puerto Varas, there's really no need... More

Perla runs a very friendly place to stay, and has a garage to lock my bike in. She is fluent in English and very helpful. The taxi fare from the bus station is CHP2,100 it's about a 10 minute walk. Breakfast is good. I enjoyed my stay here.

There was nothing to complain about the accomodation. The living room and the kitchen makes you feel as if you were at home. Though one thing, that I think was a bit strange, was that I had to pay quite a lot of money just for a couple of phone calls. I needed some help from somebody who could speak... More

This Hostel is rated as the cheapest in Puerto Montt and worth going, though it took me a time to find it and the location is pretty much uphill and not too close to the center. The whole building is a little antique but very cosy and reminds me of my grandmas house. They have a big garden with many... More

Casa Perla is a cosy hostel, with nice rooms and definitely great beds. We slept in the "matrimonio with view over the sea" and we actually did have a nice view! The breakfast is fine and the people are very friendly.

Perla is a great host. Her house is very homey. Comfortable bed and quiet location. Perla gave us great advice on a national park to visit and we had a fabulous hike there. There's not a ton of affordable hostels in Puerto Mont, so I recommend Perla's.

Casa Perla is a cute little house and you are actually staying with Perla and her family. The father and son do not speak a lit of English but Perla speaks perfect English. The things that we loved about staying here was Perla herself who is lovely. The fact that although breakfast was supposed to be finished, her and her... More

It's taken me a while to write this review but I wanted to say thanks to Perla for all her help. We had a double room that was very cosy and comfy. This is a real guesthouse and the walls and surfaces are all decorated with trinkets and photos - very quaint but might not appeal to someone who likes... More

I stayed here with a friend in July 2012 on the way north to Santiago. The place in general is quite homely and decent. The staff was decent. Overall, it was pretty cozy and it definitely had an intriguing charm. However, the roofing/ceiling wasn't sealed properly. We arrived on a pretty rainy day. Before going to sleep, I noticed that... This place was wonderful. We booked at last minute and did not expect much from the pictures available. We had a pleasant surprise when greeted by Perla, a lovely Chilena lady with exceptional English. Her family home is warm, clean and inviting after a long bus trip. The directions she gave us were great. A standard breakfast was provided. Wifi... More
