Best hostel experience I've had. The hostel is a renovated house, so it's very cozy with a spacious living room. The beds are super comfy, and the best part is the staff. Heidi and Santi arranged all of our activities, and even called around to a few different places to find the best prices. We didn't need to figure out... More

Loved this place! Very cosy atmosphere with a fireplace in the common room. Good offer of activities with very good companies. The beds are amazing too as they're a little wider than usual. Staff is friendly and competent. And there's free coffee and tee all day long.

El Refugio was amazing! Staff is very friendly and helpful: sitting down with every guest to explain all activities in the region. The hostels common area's are nice as well: small but cozy, and the fire is always burning, great to meet fellow travellers. The beds in the 8 person dorm are huge, which was a nice surprise after sleeping... More

I've been on the road for 7 months and I had one of the most amazing times of my whole travels here!!! I arrived with no reservation and intended to stay 2 nights and ended up staying a week! Peter welcomed me and sat me down with some other arrivals to explain all the activities available (ask for the free... More

Our stay was perfect. We didn't had much time in Pucon. The friendly and helpful staff recommended us some tours which were great. The dorm is big and each bed has its own locker. The bathroom was clean and roomy as well. There is a washingmachine and also enough space to dry the clothes in the garden. The kitchen is... More

I stayed in the hostel for one night before moving to their sister hostel, The Chili Kiwi. The hostel is a little dated and could be slightly cleaner but basically it's OK given the decent common area and the friendly staff. It's well located with respect to the bus station and the main strip. The upstairs room is spacious and... More

This hostel is absolutely amazing. I had such a wonderful experience. I originally booked for one night but I ended up extending for one week! The girls who work at the hostal (Eva, Lizzy, Alli, and Negra) are so helpful and fun. They know a lot about the actvities the area has to offer and they gave great advice on... More

We are travelling as a couple and decided to take a double room for some peace and quiet after trekking around Chilean campsites. We chose this hotel despite the factcit cost double what another hostel, not 5 minutes away cost, because the staff, two dutch sisters, were extremely friendly and the lounge area was alive and inviting. We got our... More

Lovely staff that were helpful with activities around the area. The hostel was really noisy at night which was terrible for sleeping, the kitchen and hostel in general was really dirty. There we so many people crammed into the hostel with domes turned into dormes out the back and dorms inside that it felt over run with bodies. I think... More

Writing this review while staying at the hostel: it's 2am and the party at reception is still going strong. Cannot wait to check out as soon as possible. The noisiest place I've encountered in all of South America. Plus the rooms are tiny, the bathrooms few in number, and no breakfast service.
