At the foot of the magnificent Osorno volcano on the edge of Lake Todos Los Santos, Petrohue Lodge is a grand building amidst a stunning landscape with attractive and spacious common areas and a welcoming atmosphere. We found the Lodge very comfortable. Our bedroom (403) was snug and well fitted-out, with shower room, room safe, free wi-fi and a lovely... More

Back in the park and back to the Lodge. We have this year a very large room at the 4th floor(beware : no elevator"...but it's not a problem for us...). Yes as in the US national park's lodge, no TV, no phone, no wi fi in the rooms... BUT WHO IS HERE FOR THAT ?? The nature, the scenic views,... More

Nice hotel though I wouldn't stay in Petrohue again. It is a cul de sac and during the day it is getting packed with day tourists and it gets very crowded with horrible traffic, especially as it is still a dirt road to get there. There is also not that much to do. There are some excursions but best to... More

Good cabaña but we were very disappointed that the open fire doesn't work. When we asked for some wood to light the staff told us the chimneys don't work and the place fills up with smoke. Apparently it is the same in all the cabañas. Also we expected to be a little more remote staying in the national park but... More

Nice rooms with either woods or lake views. Onsite excursions available. Took boat and hike to see the scenery. You can also take a catamaran to the town at the other end of the lake. Breakfast was adequate, although Chilean breakfast buffets are so similar. Very clean. The front desk man was very helpful.

Recognizing the challenges of the out-of-the-way location, our mixed feelings lean more toward disappointment regarding this very typical national park style hotel. BY FAR the most expensive place we stayed during our 6 night tour of the Lake District and Chiloe Island. Other properties in isolated locations delivered way more bang for a lot less buck. The hotel price seems to... More

We brought our family of 5 here during a rainy winter weekend (spread across 2 rooms on the 4th floor), and although there were few other guests in the hotel, we had a great visit. Setting is great, and the hotel has the feel of an old national parks-style lodge (even though it was rebuilt about a decade ago). Service... More

We arrived at the hotel by bus and boat from Bariloche, Argentina, and fell in love with the place as soon as we spotted it from the boat dock. The location is spectacular with the snow covered volcano towering over the site. We had a room on the top floor with a balcony (2 rocking chairs) overlooking the lake for... More

We stayed at 6 hotels in the los lagos region and this was by far the most disappointing. It is a gorgeous old timber frame lodge built in the 1910s and resembles the lodges at Yellowstone or Yosemite its set in a nice location next to emerald green lago de todos los santos and inside the national park. Its well... More

Very bad service at front desk, we stayed at a very nice amd warm "log-cabin" outside the main lodge building. Fireplace did not work, even though it was full of ash and burnt logs. One of the bathrooms had a water leak, promptly noticed to staff but NEVER fixed. We payed US$350/night, very poor service. Food bland, no taste. Wifi... More
