We had the family room which was spacious enough for the four of us - and considering you are in Singapore the price is amazing. Our hosts were very nice and helpful and the area allows a nice walk to Little India or public transport to get out and eat. Street noise was a small issue but for what we... More

I stayed here for 3 nights and had a really enjoyable stay. My room was spotlessly clean with a lovely big wet room, tv and free wifi. The lady on reception was particularly helpful and friendly , she gave me really good directions and lots of ideas for places to eat etc. The location is ideal, with just a short... More

We stayed in the Mayo Inn for a couple of nights recently and would recommend it for a budget hotel. The location is good - in little India, near the MRT and Bugis (shopping malls, markets, food stalls) and in walking distance to other attractions. The rooms are basic but clean (and with air-con, a good shower, fridge, tv and... More

We stayed for three nights in mayo inn and it was a good place because it is in little India and good to reach with the metro. The staff was nice. The room was very small, no windows to open and quite clean. unfortunately there was furniture for our luggage missing, though our bags lied at the floor, because it... More

We booked a Family room for 6 nights last April. It was bit difficult to get to the hotel from the MRT due to all the constructions, but easy to find and the location is convenient to the famous tourist attractions. The lift was working when we checked-in. But we only used it during day 1 to transfer our luggages.... More

Stayed with family and booked for 2 rooms. After check in been given Ground Floor and 2nd Floor. Thought got lift but cannot use. I stayed 2nd floor. Because of the hotel is just beside the roadside so will hear very clearly vehicles passing by sound and around 4 or 5 am, morning prayer can be heard. So walking up... More

We stayed here for 3 nights and I would have to say that our stay was very pleasant. For those on a budget, this Inn is really recommendable. Located in front of Sim Lim Tower and just crossing the main road will get you to Sim Lim Square, a haven for electronics. Crossing this street will also take you to... More

It was a really comfortable 5 days we spent at Mayo Inn in November. By Singapore standards, the price was great value-for-money and the location - within a 10-minute walking distance to 2 metro stations (Bugis and Bras Basah) and a 2-minute walk to a couple bus stops as well. The room was perfectly functional if a tad on the... More

We stayed at the Mayo Inn in September and were impressed with the price and convenience of the location. I had actually booked for the Friday and Saturday nights of the Singapore Grand Prix weekend without realising so to pay £50 ($100SD) per night was incredible value! The rooms were quite basic but perfectly adequate and very clean and it... More

Staying in Little India

Neighborhood Profile
Little India
With a strong local Indian community, this pocket of Singapore can feel like another place and time. Wander past traditional barbershops while local residents in brightly colored saris patronize retailers from decades past. Peruse streets lined with colorful shops as the aroma of curry tempts you to indulge. Listen to the Bollywood music echoing from storefronts and take in the stalls selling bright flowers, fabrics, and spices. At the 24-hour, four-level Mustafa Shopping Center, you can shop through the night and find everything from pharmacy and grocery items to Bollywood DVDs and diamond necklaces. Singapore’s Little India offers a colorful, lively taste of the subcontinent and is well worth the visit.
