If you are looking for an affordable place to stay, this is the place to stay! It is comfortable and safe to stay here, close to Clark Quay. I only stayed 2 nights but staff was very helpful to point out the ways to go in my short time here. If you are looking for a convenient and affordable place... More

For first timers at Singapore, City backpacker is quite a good find, location wise, easy access on mrt Clark Quay station, easy to locate as per websites' instruction. We went there as a family. When we arrived early morning, we were accomodated nicely... We stayed at room on the right side at the second floor, near the bathroom. Although we... More

The place is great because of the price and location. It's cheap for only P650 ( $15) per person with free cofee and bread for breakfast . The location is perfect too.. for a 30 meters walk, you would be in clark quay MRT station. The only downside is the poor staff service. They are irritable , talks too loud... More

I can say three things positive about this place: decent location, comfortable mattresses, and it's cheap. If you care about only those three things, and I stress only, then maybe this place is worth it for you. Otherwise: the bathrooms were very poorly maintained, the staff was often inattentive, and played loud, obnoxious music at all hours of the day,... More

The boyfriend and I were awake for over 24 hours traveling and just needed to find a bed to crash on. We tried an area across the street from Kallang MRT station. Kallang River Backpackers and City Backpackers Hostel are both owned and run by the same people; they’ve got a great location, but our treatment at their hands was... More

Their staff was very helpful. The place was clean and you'd feel at home compared to other backpacker hostel i've seen. Though there was a set back in terms of bathroom and toiletries, I'd still recommend this for people who has a tight budget. They'd honestly give you great deals in terms of tours. Also, the night shift staff was... More

If you planning to go out during peak hours without facing crowd in mrt stations, these is the place that suit your needs. Too bad they provide warm... More

We stayed for one night in the twin room on the 2nd floor. Overall I found City Backpackers a decent option for a short, relatively inexpensive stay in Singapore. The reception staff were friendly and were expecting us even though we didn't arrive until midnight. The room was clean, the air conditioning worked well and the shared shower / toilet... More

We planned to take the MRT in getting around Singapore, and we found this budget hostel online for around US$108 per day good for 4 pax sharing 2 double decks. No complaints about the location - its a 5 minute walk to the nearest MRT station, beside it is a 7-11 store, and it's walking distance to the popular Chinatown... More
