The hotel rooms are small, no space for luggage on the floor. They just need to improve on their bathroom amenities and buffet breakfast selection. Stayed in this hotel for 3 nights. In front of the hotel are restaurants.

The room itself is smaller than average asian hotel. However the major problem in my room is the lighting! The lights is so dim that i can barely see! The toilet is alright. The wifi is average but stable. Staff are friendly and helpful. As we arrive late at night. I found the restaurant open till very late at 2200!... More

My wife and I have always been a regular customer in this hotel since 2011. However in our last two visit we have to request for room change because the room is not cold or should i say warm. Stayed here for a business trip. Very conveniently located, walking distance to Singapore General Hospital. A lot of nearby chinese seafood coffee shops, coffee shops and a few pubs. However, bearing in mind that most will shut early as it is in a residential area, so nowhere to even get a coffee/food past a certain time. There is a small... More

had stayed for a week on business, was recommended by a shipping agent. Nice quiet hotel though next to a busy road. A converted property from apartments to hotel, one part is across the road which can cross to overhead passage.. Friendly staff. Food options are limited., nice bar.

We chose this hotel to stay because it was located very near to Tiong Bharu Market. It's probably around 100m from the market entrance which means we have easy access to the good and cheap food there. My dad had to start his fast from 7am onwards as he had to undergo a procedure in the hospital, hence staying here... More

Staying in Tiong Bahru

Neighborhood Profile
Tiong Bahru
Home to both local families and transient expats, Tiong Bahru is a fascinating mix of tradition and youthful creativity. Its status as a conservation area ensures that this little hub has charm and heritage on display at every corner, while the 1930s art deco architecture provides a glimpse of days gone by. Stock up on fresh tropical fruits at the wet market, browse high quality literature and children’s books, shop for interesting gifts and local fashion, or munch on bargain-priced hawker food as the aroma of frying noodles and fresh-brewed coffee wafts through the air. Cap your day with a massage and a latte, a glass of wine, or a pain au chocolat from one of the many busy bakeries. An afternoon in this vibrant and beautiful neighborhood is not to be missed.
