My Children were very happy with this hotel although we stayed here only one night It was better then the ones we have used earlier in Singapore. A Heritage property with beautiful location and excellent staff. The Breakfast in the restaurant was great . Location is very central , walking distance from MRT and markets. more

The Hotel is nice old heritage building and located in a very nice spot. Its a really good place to stay at. The Restaurant and Breakfast is superb. The place is run by singapore hotel association and the school of hotel managment. The students provide almost all services under guidance of senior staff. Room was basic but good for the... more

This is the WORST hotel I have EVER stayed in!! I can't believe we paid the same for 3 nights here as we did for 9 nights in a 5 star resort in Borneo!! The staff were pleasant enough but very young and still in training so not up to speed with hospitality (although we did know this would be... more

SHA Villa gave good service, but the property is run down, and is terrible value for money. The staff are all hospitality trainees, and so they go over the top to impress their instructors, but the rooms are very old, and the bathroom needed a major facelift. All of the floors are polished boards, so you can hear every noise... more

Lovely property that anywhere else in the world would have been sold at a super premium price as a heritage property. That being said, much needs to be done by way of maintainance and upkeep. I loved the ambience and enjoyed the lovely building built with material that is no longer available in the style of a bygone era of... more

This hotel was the absolute worst. It was grown over by mildew from top to bottom so that we could not even sleep. It is extremely noisy, has nothing to offer (no fridge, not even soap in the moldy bathrooms!) and the staff has no clue. Breakfast was an absolute joke, we got a handful of corn flakes with room... more

Stayed there last month. It was the worst place i stayed in my whole life. I couldnt even sleep at night, could hear people walking in the walk away on the wooden floor. I didnt have any window in my room, really felt like in a prison. For those who want to stay there make sure to switch one the... more

I stayed at this hotel for 2 nights in April of 2007. The airport information helped me book the hotel. I usually stay in hostels when I travel but everything good was booked the weekend I travelled to Singapore. I expected the SHA Villa to be better than it was. The exterior of the building is very nice. However, my... more

As others have written, the SHA (Singapore Hospitality Assoc.) Villa is a training hotel for students of the SHA university. The location is terrific, within 10 min walk of Orchard Road shopping and close to the Somerset MRT station. I would definitely stay here on subsequent trips to Singapore. It's a great deal for Singapore- however it's not perfect!!! One... more

We have just returned from a 5-day vacation in Singapore. Booked the Sha Villa through a website after considering all reviews made by other travellers. I was travelling with my husband and 4-year old daughter. We weren't disappointed at all. In fact, we were really pleased with the place (get the superior rooms; standard rooms are inner rooms without windows),... more
