Housekeeping wise, it's not so good but for it's price, it was already expected. Have to commend a FILIPINA STAFF, Kersten. She's very helpful. Made our stay at Fragrance- Emerald very convenient. TNX

Location: Away from the Metro station and tourist attractions. Located in Chinese locality. Room: Very small. Not enough space for family. Service: Good. Food: No restaurant in this hotel. No Indian and vegetarian restaurants in nearby locality. Cost: Cheaper. Value for money. Remarks: Rooms are not as beautiful as shown on websites.

I stay with my family for vacation, 4 nights in a triple bedroom. Direction: It's at least 1km from kallang MRT which is great. The road to the hotel is big and spacey so you could easily bring your baggage there. Just look at the photo section i've upload the direction from kallang MRT to the hotel. Reception: We arrived... This is one of the hotels of the Fragrance group and is decently located in the center of the city. Check-in: The checkin was smooth and fast. The staff was courteous and smiling, they give you a key card and don't forget to collect your Wi-fi password. Wi-fi speed is decent and reception is good. There is a money operated... More

The worst hotel I have stayed in! Room is small & cramped! There is no space to walk. I was staying in 217 Bathrooms are dirty, the lower part of the bathroom door was blackened. Towels are torn. I was surprised to see that such a hotel actually exists in Singapore. Avoid the hotel, even if its cheap

GlobalPremiumHotels, Guest Relations Manager at Fragrance Hotel - Emerald, responded to this review

I am sorry to learn of the less than satisfying stay experience in the hotel. These lapses, in particular to the torn towel, are not in line with the hotel housekeeping standards and I agree should not have occurred. The Hotel Manager had taken note of this feedback and shall conduct a review with the Housekeeping Dept. on this matter.... More

Staying in Geylang

Neighborhood Profile
Geylang
Only a short journey from Singapore’s sparkling and polished city center, Geylang is a world away. Here in one of the least touristy areas of Singapore, visitors are privy to an unfiltered glimpse of Singapore life. On Sunday afternoons, migrant workers gather in Geylang to let off steam after a tough week. At the eastern end of Geylang Road, families and friends happily enjoy picnics. By contrast, at the western end, a more colorful side of Singapore can be seen, as street workers mingle with Sunday revelers in outdoor coffee shops. Take a friend, grab a beer and a local meal (frog porridge, perhaps?), and settle in to enjoy the show.
