Stayed here for a couple of nights close to the MRT and easy to get to on the MRT from Changi airport. We had a double room on the fifth floor clean and comfortable but basic. Coffee and tea facilities not much else. No breakfast facilities available. The staff are not really helpful overall stay OK

We have stayed at Fragrance hotels before, this time we thought we would try Emerald, it had some good reviews. We were disappointed with the hotel the second we walked into the room. The family room was very small, again, even for fragrance standard. The bathroom smell of urine was absolutely overpowering. We barely used it. The bath itself was... More

Hotel fragrance Emerald is an excellent budget hotel, staff is very good and very helpful, nice location - it is walking distance to the metro station kallang. There is no restaurant in the hotel premises but there are many options located nearby. I will stay again on next visit also.

As a Filipino that resides upon the classes of higher society, I had found Fragrance Hotel as a true exquisite and most profoundly assured service With thorough care and passion for their associates, they innovated an establishment that endures best quality fragrance and aroma. Their name is undoubtedly deserved by them!

The family room is one queen size and one single bed. Room was spacious. We stayed for 5 days, and every day coffee and water were provided. Amidst the very busy street of Geylang, the staff were very hospitable. Good for families.

Hirsham n Mira, were friendly and most helpful. They went all out to make our stay here a pleasant and memorable one. When asked if the hotel had USB chargers for loan they wanted to lend me their own. I didn't want to impose thus they offered to charge for me at the front desk. This is how service should... More

Staying in Geylang

Neighborhood Profile
Geylang
Only a short journey from Singapore’s sparkling and polished city center, Geylang is a world away. Here in one of the least touristy areas of Singapore, visitors are privy to an unfiltered glimpse of Singapore life. On Sunday afternoons, migrant workers gather in Geylang to let off steam after a tough week. At the eastern end of Geylang Road, families and friends happily enjoy picnics. By contrast, at the western end, a more colorful side of Singapore can be seen, as street workers mingle with Sunday revelers in outdoor coffee shops. Take a friend, grab a beer and a local meal (frog porridge, perhaps?), and settle in to enjoy the show.
