We have stayed at the champion hotel for 2 nights with our family. The hotel has a relatively good location in a quit area (about 10 to 15 mins walk from the Paya Lebar MRT station). It is modern, very clean and comfortable. The shower was the best we had from the 8 hotels we have visited during our roundtrip.... More

Stayed here for 2 nights on a stopover to Australia. We had travelled overnight from London so was very tired. They allowed us to check in 6 hours earlier for a discounted early check in price. The room was lovely exceptionally clean with a small fridge. Toiletries provided and bottles of water in your room. As other reviews say a... More

Great for the money, out of down town, but not too far from fabulous MRT system, this hotel is about a 10 min walk to Paya Lebar MRT( the most amazing easy way to get around Singapore, bought a 3 day pass to use any of the public system, such a safe clean rail system. Once you work it out,... More

A boutique hotel along Joo Chiat Road. The room for triple occupancy is surprisingly spacious. The room is well decorated, well lighted and the bed is comfortable. All the basic amenities are provided by the hotel such as coffee and tea making facility, hair dryer, safe, tv, bathroom essentials, clean towels and a shampoo and body wash dispenser ( so... More

What a great 'little' hotel, in the middle of everything. I emphasise little, as most hotels are little in Singapore. It had everything we needed and some things we didn't. Like a window, which opens, but isn't really necessary, as it is so damn humid in Singapore, you don't want the outside air inside. Nice clean, small bathroom with shower... More

This beautiful, new hotel is located in a predominantly middle eastern area of Singapore. The rooms are well sized and has a great bathroom. The room and hotel look very new. The hotel is close to most major attractions but you most certainly need a taxi. The hotel staff is friendly and helpful. I would recommend this hotel. The price... More

Hotel was clean, and alright considered Singapore hotel mostly are expensive , I stayed one night for over night transit, near the airport, around 20$ taxi from airport, if you're going back to hotel it will only cost like 15$ because there's no additional charge. Downside is mrt station quite far, around 1km. It is located near like a night... More

We stayed at the Champion Hotel on 2 nights. Well placed about 15 minutes from the airport and just off Changi Road. Our first night on arrival, the aircon was not working so we were upgraded to a king room. Very spacious with a sitting area and large bathroom. The room was on the street side and was noisy -... My wife and I stayed for 3 nights as part of our holiday/ my birthday visit. Our room was clean, and quiet. We arrived at midnight the first night and we were greeted immediately by a friendly front desk person. On a couple occasions we interacted with the front desk. They were quick and friendly each time. The surrounding area... More

We chose the suite room as it had a lounge area as well and windows and was spacious for a hotel in Singapore. Not located right in the tourist area however the MRT station Paya Lebar is only a 10 minute walk and from there you can go anywhere you wish. The hotel has been well renovated and the decor... Staying in Joo Chiat

Neighborhood Profile
Joo Chiat
The Joo Chiat area is the traditional home of Peranakan culture in Singapore, an ethnic group descending from the blending of Chinese and Malay families in the 15th century. The neighborhood is packed with colorful shops, local characters, and quiet charm. The main streets overflow with diners enjoying katong laksa, the signature Peranakan spicy noodle soup. Signs of youthful entrepreneurship are visible as well, with modern cafes, bars, and shops abounding. Visit Joo Chiat to take a break from the big city sights and enjoy a relaxing afternoon with a laid-back and local vibe.
