The location of this hotel is fantastic, next to the Chinatown subway station, and tons of restaurants within steps, and the bed is comfy, has nice flat screen TV, and AC that works well, that's where the good ends. The rooms are small, and dark, which is ok for a cheap hotel. Now it gets worse, the linens are very... More

Dragon court hotel is well located in the heart of Chinatown and very close to the MRT station. They have very good and friendly staffs. The room is not big and the bed spread n blankets were old and shabby. I paid $100/night which was okay because i was in need of a good and quiet place where i could... More

If you want to explore Chinatown the location cannot be better. And it is quiet. Rooms are very small and a bit shabby, bathroom tired, no soap provided for hand basin. No window. Lamps did not work, no hangers. Lounge was ok. It was reasonably clean and we have stayed in worse places but we thought it was overpriced and... More

Staff were friendly and could always help us out and the location were the only great things about this hotel. But for 180 dollars for the night was extremely over priced. The hotel is a bit of a dive. At first the lobby give a first impression that it could be a nice hotel. We first checked into the 3... More

The only thing going for this hotel is its location right smack in Chinatown and near the Metro station. Other than that the rooms look tired and need to be renovated. There is no glass in the windows so the smells of the neighborhood and restaurant kitchen exhausts waft into the rooms, not to mention the noise associated with that.... More

I have paid S$140 for a double single bed room with WiFi. First of all, the first room was given didn't have windows but i didn't care about it as much because I arrived in the hotel at 3AM. I was dead tired and when to sleep. Hours later when I woke up. I realized the room is super tiny.... More

120 SGD for a double bed room. No wifi (but taken into account with a discount, otherwise would have been 140 SGD), poor bathroom, mid-air aircon (had to put a random card to start it, the reception didn't give the appropriate card). Only the location and the size of the bed were worth it, but still, you would expect a... More

I've read the reviews in TripAdvisor and other blogs about the hotel. Some are nice and some I can say... are not too good, but since we were in a tight budget we booked 2 standard rooms anyways. I was traveling with my friends and we booked the hotel because its near MRT Chinatown. Some say its 10mins but is... More

the location is just good and the value is ok compare other hotel in China town but the room is not so nice so the sleep quality is poor, its just very simple design and some are broken.

Staying in Chinatown

Neighborhood Profile
Chinatown
Chinatown is a classic combination of colorful sights, enticing smells, and sometimes startling sounds. The precinct is unique, however, in its blending of religions and cultures. A Hindu temple, an Islamic mosque, and a Chinese Buddhist temple sit almost side by side. This sense of cultural harmony continues as you venture just outside of Chinatown to the nightlife areas of Club Street and Duxton Hill. There you’ll mingle with Singapore’s multicultural residents at the modern bars and restaurants dotting the bustling streets. An afternoon in and around Chinatown will leave you culturally enlightened, well fed, and loaded with souvenirs. In the evening, reward yourself with a well-deserved cocktail as the locals come out to play.
