Very bad and old hotel. Layout of the hotel is weird. You feel like trapped before you even get to your room, like entering into a maze, door after door, confused. No phone in the room so if you don't have mobile with line, forget about this place. You have to go down to reception to take the call if... More

I was always undecided about this hotel from the minute I booked it,but was guided by price and mostly its location. What a mistake. From the moment we entered the room,I was not happy. The air con was leaking onto the floor, therefore staff had placed a bathmat under it.The air con unit itself was covered in mould,as was the bathroom. The room itself was... Well located in an interesting and central part of town. My first room was smelly from smoke and then i found a draw that had not been cleaned out from last client. When i raised this with the staff they and the owner were very accomodating and helpful - they found me a new room that was neither smelly or... More

The location of this hotel is fantastic, next to the Chinatown subway station, and tons of restaurants within steps, and the bed is comfy, has nice flat screen TV, and AC that works well, that's where the good ends. The rooms are small, and dark, which is ok for a cheap hotel. Now it gets worse, the linens are very... More

Dragon court hotel is well located in the heart of Chinatown and very close to the MRT station. They have very good and friendly staffs. The room is not big and the bed spread n blankets were old and shabby. I paid $100/night which was okay because i was in need of a good and quiet place where i could... More

If you want to explore Chinatown the location cannot be better. And it is quiet. Rooms are very small and a bit shabby, bathroom tired, no soap provided for hand basin. No window. Lamps did not work, no hangers. Lounge was ok. It was reasonably clean and we have stayed in worse places but we thought it was overpriced and... More

Staff were friendly and could always help us out and the location were the only great things about this hotel. But for 180 dollars for the night was extremely over priced. The hotel is a bit of a dive. At first the lobby give a first impression that it could be a nice hotel. We first checked into the 3... More

The only thing going for this hotel is its location right smack in Chinatown and near the Metro station. Other than that the rooms look tired and need to be renovated. There is no glass in the windows so the smells of the neighborhood and restaurant kitchen exhausts waft into the rooms, not to mention the noise associated with that.... More

I have paid S$140 for a double single bed room with WiFi. First of all, the first room was given didn't have windows but i didn't care about it as much because I arrived in the hotel at 3AM. I was dead tired and when to sleep. Hours later when I woke up. I realized the room is super tiny.... More

Staying in Chinatown

Neighborhood Profile
Chinatown
Chinatown is a classic combination of colorful sights, enticing smells, and sometimes startling sounds. The precinct is unique, however, in its blending of religions and cultures. A Hindu temple, an Islamic mosque, and a Chinese Buddhist temple sit almost side by side. This sense of cultural harmony continues as you venture just outside of Chinatown to the nightlife areas of Club Street and Duxton Hill. There you’ll mingle with Singapore’s multicultural residents at the modern bars and restaurants dotting the bustling streets. An afternoon in and around Chinatown will leave you culturally enlightened, well fed, and loaded with souvenirs. In the evening, reward yourself with a well-deserved cocktail as the locals come out to play.
