Simple and very convenient. This is my second time here and the room with a window is for sure worth the extra money. If you are just willing to use the room for sleep and are not looking for extra comfort is for sure a good choice. Do not expect the usual high level service of the higher price hotel... More

It is a chain with lots of hotels in Singapore, this one is very well located right in the middle between Bugis and Little India MRT stations. Rooms are clean, not too big but very comfortable for the price you pay. The lobby and the staff are very nice and very helpful. The only minor thing I did not like... More

I was in this hotel by myself, the neighborhood really unpleasant for a girl by herself. The Indian men staring and it's not nice . In addition to that, lots of noise every night and morning outside my room that cause by Indian guests. And the bed was bad. WiFi ok but only if your room close to the elevator.... More

I stayed in this hotel in a double room with an extra bed for my kids. The Hotel is neat and clean, good location and reasonable price. The front desk staffs were not that welcoming. Other than the scheduled time of the day, the room cleaning service is not available. Room svc is impossible to get. But if your tour... More

Australian couple. Clean and safe accommodation. Rooms are very small, but perfect for this budget range in Singapore. Basic rooms do not have a window and you cannot turn the airco off. Little India is very nice, cheap eats. WiFi capped at 1Mbps per device.

Coming from a boring small town in Canada I was very disappointed to not experience the 'white people' problems which were stated in the negative reviews. There were no prostitutes, the street was quite despite it being CNY and no one was rude to me? The room was clean, and cleaned everyday. As well the front desk was very helpful... More

Hotel 81 is perfect for a budget stay in the expensive city Singapore. It is located in Little India in a thriving community, but this is not a great deal of distance from anywhere in Singapore when travelling via a cheap cab. The room was fairly small and compact and the one immediate disappointing thing was there were no windows.... More

Affordable hotel in Singapore. If you don't need all the trappings but still want a clean place with good staff this is the place. Right in the middle of Little India so you have excellent food. options at very cheap prices. Walk to train and its two or three stops to Orchard. Walk to Arab street in minutes.

Let me start out by saying that if you are a pretentious jerk that demands 5 star service everywhere you go, then don't go here. But if you are looking for a great place to stay in Singapore for a great price, then look no further. The room was small compared to a larger hotel chain, but plenty for crashing... More

Staying in Little India

Neighborhood Profile
Little India
With a strong local Indian community, this pocket of Singapore can feel like another place and time. Wander past traditional barbershops while local residents in brightly colored saris patronize retailers from decades past. Peruse streets lined with colorful shops as the aroma of curry tempts you to indulge. Listen to the Bollywood music echoing from storefronts and take in the stalls selling bright flowers, fabrics, and spices. At the 24-hour, four-level Mustafa Shopping Center, you can shop through the night and find everything from pharmacy and grocery items to Bollywood DVDs and diamond necklaces. Singapore’s Little India offers a colorful, lively taste of the subcontinent and is well worth the visit.
