The staff are very friendly and response promptly. The room is big but somehow I do not like the layout as it seems to waste a lot of space. The street turn into Geylang at night with a lot sexy women.

We booked this hotel through GOIBIBO.com for my family for 3 nights. Hospitality shown by reception (Alvin and Angel) were outstanding. Nice hotel and near to major attractions. SGD 10 per trip in taxis to major attractions. Multi cuisine (Indian, Malay, Thai and western) restaurants are available near the hotel. There are some pubs in the street which makes uncomfortable... The reception area is clean and smells like a spa as soon as you enter. The rooms are clean, towels, bed sheet, and with basic toiletries you needed. Hair blower and heaters are provided as well. Outside the hotel, you can find shops to eat (mostly were Vietnamese resto) but if you walk further east, you'll find a hawker. It's... More

a very comfortable place to stay. Absolute quiet environment although there are few pubs and karaoke nearby. Rooms are small, but just what you need! Great for people who just need a room to unpack and rest!

On a budget after 2 staycations in a month, we decided to try this new boutique hotel in the heart of Paya lebar. It is definitely not a dodgy hotel, especially being in Geylang. Going in, the place looked a little dark. I have a thing for how the hotel smells like and the lobby smelled good. Check in was... More

We spent 2 days last week on my family's vacation. The staff are kind and helpful. The room is small but enough space for daily activities, facilities are still new and good. Some Chinese and Vietnamese restaurants nearby which can enjoy local cuisine in Singapore style. The Fair price supermarket in the corner of Joo Chiat and Geyland where you... More

This hotel is superb, The staff was friendly and very helpful. I liked the location which is close to several restaurants and shopping centres. The room itself was small but comfortable with coffee and tea making facilities. The only negatives were the room had no window and there was a small stain on the bed sheet. However with rooms being... More

Staying in Joo Chiat

Neighborhood Profile
Joo Chiat
The Joo Chiat area is the traditional home of Peranakan culture in Singapore, an ethnic group descending from the blending of Chinese and Malay families in the 15th century. The neighborhood is packed with colorful shops, local characters, and quiet charm. The main streets overflow with diners enjoying katong laksa, the signature Peranakan spicy noodle soup. Signs of youthful entrepreneurship are visible as well, with modern cafes, bars, and shops abounding. Visit Joo Chiat to take a break from the big city sights and enjoy a relaxing afternoon with a laid-back and local vibe.
