There are a few Hotel 81's in Geylang area.Rate is about Sing$90. I stayed at 2 different places and both were OK. The rooms are clean and everything is basic. Train station is nearby.The area near the hotels can be quite intimidating. It's full of foreign labourers from several countries and hookers can be seen day and night. Not recommended... more

Stayed 8 times. Good all-round value. A lot of "transit" customers staying for 2 hours if you get my drift, hence the noise. If you add the cost of taxis to get out of Geylang, it's probably the same price to stay somewhere more central that's better and more expensive.
