For SG first timers, like me and my girlfriend, the hotel was hard to find and a bit far from the mrt. Good thing there's a Hotel 81 in almost every corner in Geylang so we got to ask. Now at the hotel, they allowed us a very early check in which was nice. The room, small (suites the budget),... More

If you have no other choice, camp and set a tent instead! Worst hotel ever. Small, smelly, expensive rooms with free turtlish internet, and not even a free breakfast for the price of the room. If you feel like seeing female service workers 24/7, this is the perfect hotel for you.

Hotel is in the red light districts with prostitutes hanging around everywhere. Cars driving around dangerously. Lobby is small with horiible receptionists don't even know why the hotel hired people like them. Very rude upon check in asking us for money like we owe them our life. Definately not a place for children or even women. After checking in i... More

I spent three nights with my little family in this budget hotel for a short holiday in early June. The hotel location is very strategic, close to bus station around 5 minutes walk and 15 to 20 minutes to Aljunied MRT Station, A lot of restaurants with reasonable price available in the neighborhood, as well as mini market, money changer,... Although a little out of the way, the buses & trains once mastered, made moving around easy. The room was a bit small, but OK & the price for Singapore was reasonable. The staff were friendly & helpful. There was no restaurant in the hotel but plenty of budget choices handy.

The hotel was pretty decent considering the price of my stay . No smoking in rooms so had to take many trips down the elevator windows don't open and your right bang in the heart of red light area . I had trouble catering for western food while I was there and rooms had no fridge so no way of... More

I've decided to book this hotel during my short visit at Singapore. The price is quite cheap and I need a private room as better option than a dorm room for privacy The hotel was conveniently situated at busy Geylang area, it qas very easy for me to find foods, mini markets and everything in here. One biggest downfall was... More

Me and my boyfriend stayed at this hotel for five nights this week. The rooms are very small and basic, but clean and well maintained. Found the staff very helpful and friendly too. Unfortunately, the area is not the best.. Not much food or shopping around and about 20min walk to the MRT. You should also be aware that this... More

I came here as a stop over this time and was checked in very quickly. Like they expected me and ready to get me off to my room. Few mins and it was done . Wifi collected and signal is great throughout the hotel. Lift was reliable and the room was clean. Only thing was the mould in the bathroom... More

It's quite far from the subway station. Hotel is located in the overcrowded part of the city, quite dirty and full of street sellers. A lot of local small shops and canteens around. Room was good and quiet. Nice to stay for a day or two but not more.

Staying in Geylang

Neighborhood Profile
Geylang
Only a short journey from Singapore’s sparkling and polished city center, Geylang is a world away. Here in one of the least touristy areas of Singapore, visitors are privy to an unfiltered glimpse of Singapore life. On Sunday afternoons, migrant workers gather in Geylang to let off steam after a tough week. At the eastern end of Geylang Road, families and friends happily enjoy picnics. By contrast, at the western end, a more colorful side of Singapore can be seen, as street workers mingle with Sunday revelers in outdoor coffee shops. Take a friend, grab a beer and a local meal (frog porridge, perhaps?), and settle in to enjoy the show.
