Room 0722 was noisy due to airconditioner venting. Changed to room 0722 and the nights sleep was peaceful. Better To Choose High Floors. Security was lacking. Working girls, entered and left the building with ease.

Low budget hotel for fast traveling for night stay - best suitable for said hotel. Rooms size just nice for two and rate $100 attraction location and room clean. Can't expect 4Star level - just nice two days sleep.

We stayed here for one night. Pleasantly surprised with overall room. It's small, but expect that in space-constrained Singapore. The room accommodated the two of us, our backpacks and one medium luggage each just fine. Any more than that and the room would feel too small. At the low cost per room, consider reserving one person per room for longer... More

The rooms are small, but comfortable. It is just 10 minute from MRT station, and 3 minutes to bus stom (7, 70m and more). The stuff is friendly and the hotel is new. The only minus -the the door is not sound proof so you hear everything outside the door.

We were after a cheap and clean option for a one night stoppover and Hotel 81 (Premier) Star proved to be just that. For approximately AUD$68 (Agoda) we stayed in a superior double room which although small, contained all the necessities (comfortable bed, tv, small refrigerator, clean bathroom, free wi-fi, room safe & hairdryer). Breakfast was not included but there... More

Whilst the small room was fine it was the appalling customer service which ruined our experience and left us never wanting to stay in the hotel again. We had a few issues with our air con as it wasn't blowing out warm air, which we needed to help our washing to dry, we called reception who sent a member of... More

An excellent service provided everytime we had our stay there. A warm and friendly welcome given by the staffs. They are very approachable with an outstanding professionalism. We've been around the island for our stay but particularly we find 81 Star to be the BEST in all aspects. The credit should go to the manager Mr Eric and Mr Wee... More

Hotel is located in the middle between airport and city hall but with Singapore metro connection is not a problem at all. It seems brand new, rooms are clean with very good standard. Having in mind prices in Sinagpore (for private room) this solution is really good option. Places to eat - just nearby:)

Yes, Hotel 81 Star is located in the red light district, but I still (even as a solo woman) found it perfectly safe and would happily recommend it to others. Room was small but had good facilities: air conditioning, fridge, safe, private bathroom, tea and coffee making facilities, free bottle of water every day, hairdryer, TV, towels changed daily. For... Staying in Geylang

Neighborhood Profile
Geylang
Only a short journey from Singapore’s sparkling and polished city center, Geylang is a world away. Here in one of the least touristy areas of Singapore, visitors are privy to an unfiltered glimpse of Singapore life. On Sunday afternoons, migrant workers gather in Geylang to let off steam after a tough week. At the eastern end of Geylang Road, families and friends happily enjoy picnics. By contrast, at the western end, a more colorful side of Singapore can be seen, as street workers mingle with Sunday revelers in outdoor coffee shops. Take a friend, grab a beer and a local meal (frog porridge, perhaps?), and settle in to enjoy the show.
