be aware that if you get a room in the other building (they have a "main" building and the "other" one) there is NO internet and NO facilities other than run down toilettes and rooms. Showers are in need of a big clean up and fixing as all shower head do not stay in place on the wall fixing so... More

During my vacation in S'pore, I had the chance to stay in this young and dynamic hostel! It is located in the Little India area in S'pore, but its location is just a few steps far from the MRT and it is well-linked to the Int'l Airport by Train and buses. The hostel is quite small (just 2 floors) but... More

I had high hopes for this hostel, the website is a treasure trove of information and booking via email was efficient and helpful. I was not overly impressed when I first arrived and then even less so when I was told I would be staying in the second location round the corner (the walk feels a lot longer with all... More

We were after a double room but only a twin was availalbe. Bunk accommodation. Small, windowless room. Had a tv but only for DVDs. Air con was awesome! Free breakfast was a bonus (boiled eggs, toast, two in one coffee, or tea) bathroom was ok. Would stay again for somewhere cheap. Good location.

We had booked a private room, but instead we've got a dorm room (just for us) without windows and wih a tv which is not working. The sheets are not very clean and te towels are small, not soft and seem dirty. While we are staying in the hostel, they are doing some renovation work with a toxic glue that... More

We booked through hostel world and the photos completely misold the place, however the service from the hostel has been helpful, email with usefull info and answers to all questions before we got there. Check in was smooth we took the beesy bus from the airport and arrived just before midnight. Not sure if the sheets had been changed but... More

Stayed here for like two nights it's a comfy nice basic good hostel. We liked it verry much my friend and I. We just arrived from Australia and it was like the same standard. It's really great for a couple of days. You can't really compare it to like the rest of the HOTELS you get in other places in... More

Stayed in the Dunlop Street one for 3 nights in March 2012 (wasn't even aware there was another location until reading the reviews here). Good points: Great western guy on reception for local information, free locker, free breakfast is fantastic (as much tea, coffee, toast and boiled eggs as you want), nice common room to surf and read their LP... Travelled together with friends and we put up 2 nights at this hostel. This would be my second time staying here. The overall experience was much better this time around as we manage to get a quad room for the 4 of us in the Dunlop street unit. Inn-crowd has another unit which is a few blocks away which IMHO... We stayed in this hostel for 2 nights in December 2011 and quite enjoyed our stay. It's a basic hostel, but it has got all the necessities you need. There's free wifi and the rooms and bathroom is clean. This hostel is centrally located in little India and is close to MRT station Bugis and little India.

Staying in Little India

Neighborhood Profile
Little India
With a strong local Indian community, this pocket of Singapore can feel like another place and time. Wander past traditional barbershops while local residents in brightly colored saris patronize retailers from decades past. Peruse streets lined with colorful shops as the aroma of curry tempts you to indulge. Listen to the Bollywood music echoing from storefronts and take in the stalls selling bright flowers, fabrics, and spices. At the 24-hour, four-level Mustafa Shopping Center, you can shop through the night and find everything from pharmacy and grocery items to Bollywood DVDs and diamond necklaces. Singapore’s Little India offers a colorful, lively taste of the subcontinent and is well worth the visit.
