I'll start with negatives as that is what people want to hear: There are only small lockers for valuables. This means you leave your luggage unattended. This would normally be fine but your hostel experience is influenced by who is staying with you. In our case, we had a strange girl. She spent a lot of time pacing the room... More

Title sums it up. It was fine! But nothing special. The rooms were comfortable enough, showers were decent. Biggest downside was breakfast - just toast and eggs on offer, no more. The area downstairs is nice but not enough seating in the evenings if the hostel is full.

Stayed here for one night in the female dorm, for 20 SGD. It was OK for the price! The aircon wasn't turned on during daytime so too hot in the dorms then, but fortunately they turned them on during night. Didn't sleep very well though, since there were noise from the bars on the street outside. Breakfast OK and as... More

If you are from Malaysia using bus from Larkin, you will disembark at Queen street. The Hostel is just a 5 min walking distance. It's convenient too. I had used Little India MRT station. Its around 5 min ealk from the hostel too. Muslims will find this place great too since its near the mosque.

I know that age is nothing to worry about most of the time but as a solo female traveller, I feel slightly less comfortable sleeping in a shared room with men who are upwards of 45 or 50 years old. There was a man who snored EXTREMELY loudly for the two nights I stayed there. On the first night I... More

Stayed there on the 4th week of October 2015. It was our first try of staying in this type of accomodation so we didn't expect much. As long as we have a place to stay. The room assigned to us was mixed (unisex) room. We did request to be checked in into a ladies room only through email, only to... More

Hi Cyetha R Thank you very much for choosing The InnCrowd. You had booked your stay with us through the booking form in our website on 7 July 2015. Your booking was actually for 3 dorm beds in a Mixed Dorm, and not in a Female Dorm. Aside from the booking form, we did not receive any other e-mails from... More

Myself and 3 friends stayed here for 2 nights in October and we were not impressed! The location is good- it's about a 7 minute walk to the metro stop and Little India itself is a great, authentic bit of Singapore and completely different to the rest of the city! Fabulous food and architecture! We stayed in a 10 bed... More

Rarely do we respond to reviews; as we trust that the majority of travellers are sensible enough not to accept everything they read online blindly, whether the review be good or bad. However, when a personal attack is launched against a dedicated and hardworking member of our staff, which is hurtful, insensitive, and uncalled for, we really do find the... More

We stayed for 3 nights at the inncrowd and had a lovely time. We had booked a private room with a bunk bed and the room was small but fairly clean. The toilet and bathroom was shared by all but was cleaned daily and I had no complaints. The hostel serves a free breakfast of toast and coffee which was... More

Relatively cheap hostel in Singapore. They have a free kick scooter tour that was fun to do. Bring a bottle of water though! The room we were in was a twin room. It wasn't the biggest but it was clean and cosy. If you're lucky they've got a bigger one as well. You get a tv and dvd player and... More

Staying in Little India

Neighborhood Profile
Little India
With a strong local Indian community, this pocket of Singapore can feel like another place and time. Wander past traditional barbershops while local residents in brightly colored saris patronize retailers from decades past. Peruse streets lined with colorful shops as the aroma of curry tempts you to indulge. Listen to the Bollywood music echoing from storefronts and take in the stalls selling bright flowers, fabrics, and spices. At the 24-hour, four-level Mustafa Shopping Center, you can shop through the night and find everything from pharmacy and grocery items to Bollywood DVDs and diamond necklaces. Singapore’s Little India offers a colorful, lively taste of the subcontinent and is well worth the visit.
