First the basic info about this place: - great location in little India, mrt stop bugis 5-10 minutes walk away, supermarkets, food courts, restaurants etc all very close - free internet as well as wifi, good connection, printing costs 30 cents - breakfast included in the price. It's simple but it's nice, hard boiled eggs, toast with butter and jam... More

The staff here were really nice and helpful but the noise ruined this one for us. Paper thin walls and people coming in really late. One night we were woken up at 4am and another night we were kept up by people hanging out in the bathroom talking to (shouting at) each other past midnight. On both occasions we had to... More

The biggest advantage is the good location in little India, 5 min walk from little India MRT station which is well connected to the main attractions in Singapore. Nice living room with three computers, sofas and tv. Rooms were too cold and noisy at night, bathrooms could have been a bit cleaner. Paying extra for storing the luggage plus using... More

Nice, clean place. Dorm with 20SGD is quite cheap in Singapore for great and helpfull staff and the place got cleaned evry morning so it was clean for my whole visit, 5 nights. I don't think its same kind of backpackers place than cheap hotels in rest of Southeast asia, but of course some skip Singapore because of prices. Alot... More

Great hostel, fairly clean and quiet. Lots of backpackers hanging out in the common area, but mainly because theres no outlets or wifi in the rooms, which is a big pain. Otherwise, really friendly staff, great vibe, would stay there again. Right in little india and a 5 min walk to the indian hawker stalls, delish!

We stayed at the inn crowd for a week whilst in singapore. we booked a double room but had to change to a twin room on our last night because of over booking. staff were very apologetic even though this wasn't a hassle at all. close to MRT station and hawkers market. cheapest beer you will find in singapore. showers... I stayed here with my girlfriend for 2 nights. We had requested a double room but one was not available so we were put in 12 bed mixed dorm. We weren't overly impressed. The dorms and bathrooms were clean all the same which is the main thing. The hostel is well located in little India. It is central to most... More

I'll start with the positives: The location is in a great location - right in the middle of Little India and near the MRT station, also walking distance from Bugis shops and Arab Street. There are plenty of places to eat nearby and a convenience store right next door. Most of the staff were excellent - very knowledgeable about the... More

We´ve been there for 3 nights, booked a double room. when we arrived, the booked room was not available for some reason. had to stay in a 8 bed dorm the first night, then we got our booked double room which was actually a dorm room as well, but just the two of us. clean rooms and bathrooms, warm water.... My friend and I stayed here for 2 nights in a private room. The staff were extremely friendly and the location is good, but the beds were very uncomfortable - bumpy mattresses and itchy blankets. It was also very noisy in our room - noise from the communal area and corridors frequently woke us up. The mixed sex toilets were... More

Staying in Little India

Neighborhood Profile
Little India
With a strong local Indian community, this pocket of Singapore can feel like another place and time. Wander past traditional barbershops while local residents in brightly colored saris patronize retailers from decades past. Peruse streets lined with colorful shops as the aroma of curry tempts you to indulge. Listen to the Bollywood music echoing from storefronts and take in the stalls selling bright flowers, fabrics, and spices. At the 24-hour, four-level Mustafa Shopping Center, you can shop through the night and find everything from pharmacy and grocery items to Bollywood DVDs and diamond necklaces. Singapore’s Little India offers a colorful, lively taste of the subcontinent and is well worth the visit.
