Price is cheap, and location is decent, but the large 16 bed dorm room is a bit dirty and full of strange, sketchy guys (Indian guys). One guy was staring at me the next morning as I was packing my things to leave. Only stayed one night, that was enough. The receptionist was nice though.

Room too small, there is mice in the kitchen, u should bring your own food utensils if you dont want sharing plastic plate. The bed sheet not change everyday and a bit stuffy. But the receptionists are so friendly

Turned up here, actually looking for somewhere else. Wish I had kept looking as there are lots of other hostels nearby. Was sharing a dorm with workers using it as cheap accommodation. Not exactly the "backpacker environment" I was looking for. Very dirty - bathroom was disgusting, mild and mildew. Stowed bag under the bed and there was so much... More

We had a good stay at this hostel. Small rooms, but what to expect? The staff was really nice, and even cleaned our room one of the days we stayed here (4 nights in total). They were very helpful and kind! The reception has cheap water and a phone you can borrow for calls within singapore. The breakfast was what... More

Stayed in a 4 bed dorm with family which lacked space. The breakfast was very basic - with just white breads and some spreads. If you don't prefer to use shared hostel utensils like me, I would strongly advise to carry your own or buy disposable party tableware (like a cup, plate, knife/fork etc.,) - just to feel clean, comfortable... Very poor experience. Sadly, this was level with about the cheapest price in Singapore, that isnt a dorm room. ie: a room for 2 that has a bathroom. A tiny windowless box, with 5 beds in it. You dont get a towel, or blankets. Just 2 things that act as blankets that might have been towels in a former life.... More

We were staying in a 4 bed room for 4 of us which is quite narrow/tight however private bathroom is available with cold and... More

I was stay here in September 2013. The location consider good, 10 minutes walking distance from "Little India" MRT station, just one more station can go to the famous 24 hours operating huge supermarket , "Mustafa". In this area you really can experience the Indian culture and what they are eating and selling, very interesting, beside Indian food, there are... More

I had an upper bunk as I checked in the late evening. Room was cramped and vents of the toilet face into the room, not many power plugs and walls are thin so a lot of noise from the outside. I also paid to rent a towel and did not receive it. However, after I forgot my camera there they... More

Staying in Little India

Neighborhood Profile
Little India
With a strong local Indian community, this pocket of Singapore can feel like another place and time. Wander past traditional barbershops while local residents in brightly colored saris patronize retailers from decades past. Peruse streets lined with colorful shops as the aroma of curry tempts you to indulge. Listen to the Bollywood music echoing from storefronts and take in the stalls selling bright flowers, fabrics, and spices. At the 24-hour, four-level Mustafa Shopping Center, you can shop through the night and find everything from pharmacy and grocery items to Bollywood DVDs and diamond necklaces. Singapore’s Little India offers a colorful, lively taste of the subcontinent and is well worth the visit.
