I moved to The Prince of Wales half way through my stay in Singapore and am so glad I did! The staff there was awesome, super friendly and jocular. The breakfast, consisting of eggs, toast, fruit and unlimited coffee and tea, was great in comparison to other hostels where all you get is toast. The only qualm I had with... More

POW is a great place in Little India, a unique neighborhood in central Singapore of low-rise buildings and great cafes & restaurants. I arrived on an extremely late flight (1 AM) but the staff was really accommodating about my late arrival and expecting me at 2 AM. I had one of the private rooms (Darwin) with a superb little aircon.... More

We had less than a day to stay in SG on our way back home. Booked the POW and arrived around 1am. The bar was open and the staff was very friendly. I cant remember the name of the Girl from Philippines who showed us around! sorry! Good clean showers and toilets. Got a mix dorm which was very nice.... More

Well placed in the colorful little india. Just 15 to 20min walk of the marina and other main point of interest. Good and friendly staff, the dormitory is clean. This place will be perfect for those who like meeting people and grabbing beer at very affordable price for singapore

One of my favorite pubs in Singapore to enjoy a few beers with my friends. Beers are cheap and food is good. I always preferred the spicy chicken wings. Live music is good, and staff are very friendly. Will definitely visit again.

We were three friends who stayed here for two nights. We really liked this place, the dorm was clean and the beds were comfortable. The bartender/receptionist was really friendly and helped us a lot since we had many questions. He even gave us an umbrella when it was raining and helped us to get some breakfast even though we left... More

Really enjoyed the beer selection here..dropped in on a little vacation to Singapore. . Our bartender was South African I think and he was pleasent.. I really enjoyed a beer that was brewed in a Monastery in Australia but I can't remember the name of it.. we used the POW as a base camp to explore little India and I... More

Stayed here for 2 nights on a brief stop in Singapore, lovely staff, decent food, the beds were super comfy compared to the other hostels i stayed in in S.E.A and the breakfast in the morning was great. The dorm room was clean and tidy and had both air con and a fan. The bathroom being downstairs was not ideal... More

Stayed here twice during my two week stay. Staff are very helpful. Cheap beers and food. The dorm room was clean and reasonable but due to it's size can get loud at night. Showering facilities more than adequate. I would prefer some local food choices on the menu but this place is an Australian pub first and foremost so can't... More

Staying in Little India

Neighborhood Profile
Little India
With a strong local Indian community, this pocket of Singapore can feel like another place and time. Wander past traditional barbershops while local residents in brightly colored saris patronize retailers from decades past. Peruse streets lined with colorful shops as the aroma of curry tempts you to indulge. Listen to the Bollywood music echoing from storefronts and take in the stalls selling bright flowers, fabrics, and spices. At the 24-hour, four-level Mustafa Shopping Center, you can shop through the night and find everything from pharmacy and grocery items to Bollywood DVDs and diamond necklaces. Singapore’s Little India offers a colorful, lively taste of the subcontinent and is well worth the visit.
