We recently stayed at Bliss for 7 nights and found it to be a great hotel. We originally chose to stay there as they had family rooms that were very well priced for Singapore ( approx. $240Aus a night). The room itself was on the 4th floor and had 2 rooms. One had 2 singles and the bathroom and the... More

Beforehand I was quite worried about the small size of the room, just 10 sqm and the fact it has no window. But the room was incredibly functional and just perfect for a short stay. It has everything you need in a room: air con, free wifi, good shower, comfy bed, safety deposit box, fridge and even a desk and... More

Clean and tidy place to stay and very handy to the Metro (across the road) and China Town as well as being only a 20 minute walk down to the Marina. The room was a bit out of the norm as it had no windows but good to sleep in if there was no other noise from adjacent rooms (which... More

Room was tiny but I did not feel chlostraphobic as it was set up very well. Enough floor space to do yoga. I booked a single bed room and it was very comfy. Room was on the side of the building and was silent, not a single noise to be heard. Very trendy and modern inside, across the road from... More

Great location, across road from metro, stroll a street away from Chinatown markets, across from people's complex a mall, behind mall food hawkers, in mall can have foot reflexology, beauty treatments. Their was a funny smell by lifts, otherwise this hotel is a good basic option. Bed was comfortable, rooms are small mine was windowless, but didn't spend a lot... More

Me, my partner and our two kids stayed here in early July for two nights. First the positives. 1) Location. Great strolling access to Chinatown food, bars and shopping as well as the MRT and nearby malls. 2) wifi free and worked okay. However, the room was really cramped. With barely any space for luggage, clothes etc... No bedside tables,... More

Not sure if it had to do with us being on the first floor, but our room seemed like there was a lot of water damage in the room (on the base boards, along the walls, ect). Room was also loud since we were on the first floor (there is another exit somewhere along the back which generates a lot... More

Room was small but well equipped: TV, Fridge, good Air Conditioning, Desk, Kettle (inc. coffee and water). Beds are really comfortable, had a great night's sleep. Only problem was the bathroom smelling of sewage if it hadn't been used for a while, and cleaners being loud in the corridor at ~8am. Staff were friendly. Location is fantastic, just over the... This hotel has smaller than average rooms but more than enough for two people to comfortably use. The Hotel is located at the edge of China Town which allows plenty of small shops, restaurants and POI within walking distance. The MRT Train is across the street as well as a large commercial shopping center. The hotel is located on Upper... More

Staying in Chinatown

Neighborhood Profile
Chinatown
Chinatown is a classic combination of colorful sights, enticing smells, and sometimes startling sounds. The precinct is unique, however, in its blending of religions and cultures. A Hindu temple, an Islamic mosque, and a Chinese Buddhist temple sit almost side by side. This sense of cultural harmony continues as you venture just outside of Chinatown to the nightlife areas of Club Street and Duxton Hill. There you’ll mingle with Singapore’s multicultural residents at the modern bars and restaurants dotting the bustling streets. An afternoon in and around Chinatown will leave you culturally enlightened, well fed, and loaded with souvenirs. In the evening, reward yourself with a well-deserved cocktail as the locals come out to play.
