We stayed three people in a room with a private bathroom. The room was small and had no windows. Despite the seemingly sub-par conditions, the room was rather expensive by international standards - this, however, is Singapore in a nutshell. Accommodation here isn't cheap. The hostel is clean and there was breakfast included in the price, however not the most... More

It was a lot of money for a private room with bathroom, the bathroom was small and the bed was uncomfortable because was a cabin. the breakfast was simple but not bad and the room was clean. It is near the train station.

Room is cozy and comfortable. Shared bathroom is clean and location is great. Near haji lane and shopping districts at bugis. Wifi is also reliable with available Computers to use. Breakfast have a good variety too.

I stayed two nights, one night in a single room and one night in a 4-bed dorm. Customer service was good, the young employees were helpful with any inquiries I had and friendly. The rooms are really small and any bigger bags or suitcases won't fit inside (some left theirs out in the hallway, I left my big suitcase in... More

Good enough room but a little bit different from the photo on the website. Though the service here is really nice. Breakfast is provided there and it's flourishing. All the servers are kind and willing to help us.

I thought the room was very cheap and clean. I never had to wait for a bathroom and the lockers were spacious. Free breakfast was nothing to write home about, but certainly tided me over until lunch. Wifi was solid and the rooms (where you slept) were very well-AC'd. Very close to the MRT. I would definitely stay here again.

Decided to book this place because I heard many good reviews about it. Firstly the staff are incredibly helpful, I didn't do many research but still I managed to go to some places, thanks to them. The location is strategic as there are many restaurant around that area, but if you want authentic food, go to Golden Mile hawker centre!

Staying in Kampong Glam

Neighborhood Profile
Kampong Glam
This traditionally Malay enclave of Singapore offers an alluring array of shops, cafes, and bars. A walk down Haji Lane offers quirky shopping, while one block over, Arab Street is a treasure trove of brightly colored fabrics, clothing, and Turkish rugs. Stop for a leisurely coffee or cocktail and watch local kids play traditional games along the lane. Also home to the Malay Heritage Center and one of Singapore’s most prominent mosques (Sultan Mosque), Kampong Glam is a must-visit for a tantalizing taste of Malay life in this city.
