Low budget hotel in the heart of China town. Rooms are small but everything is there except a mini bar. Bathroom also small and tiles are slippery when wet. During the night no noises, something you should not expect in a hotel in the heart of Chnatown. Very friendly and helpfull service

The outer fascade is quaint. Internally its clean but characterless. The term breakfast can mean just about anything. Here its sliced bread and jam, coffee and tea- everything from a packet-- dont expect anything more. My room was quiet as I had requested. I gradually got used to its shape which was sort of like being in a train carriage.... More

I would say this is one of the best in location, very strategically located in the heart of Chinatown. So many Cafes n Restaurants all around. All Chinatown attractions are within walking distance. Its a real budget hotel. Rooms are very small. OK for couples, not families. Hot and Cold water available at pantry for guest. Breakfast was exceptionally simple,... More

I stayed for a night before i heads home for my long vacation. Hotel is quite old but unique i would say and strategic location as well. I had a small room with a single bed and private toilet. Everything inside are clean and tidy. The staff Robin is a very helpful man. The only problem i encounter is the... More

We stayed at chinatown hotel for 3 nights. The staff name wani was very helpful and poilte. Attended to our needs in all aspect. Room was tight but room service was done everyday, fresh towels are given everyday. Aircon was excellent but the hotel charged for the Wi Fi which was a let down but overall we are happy with... My Sister and I stayed here. The Staff particularly, Robin, was very helpful to my Sister who has disability issues by allowing her to use his phone. And also by recommending a place to eat which was just across the road from the hotel. The food there was excellent. Accommodation tight in term of room size and the area for... More

So many out there don't often really read words: stars and pictures for Generation X to Z who are too busy playing games to read the small print, never mind the subtext. We had two nights at this hotel which advertizes itself as a budget hotel perfect for business people. The rooms (like most in Singapore) are not used to... More

.... but if you explore the city, end up in your bed deadtired at midnight: it'll do. breakfast? who cares, great alternative at Mac only 5 minutes away. Depending on the other visitors it can be quiet. The staff did their best to get us a quiet room and actually refunded because we ended up in a smaller (but nicer)... More

Booked the hotel via Agoda for a night. Due to unforeseen circumstances unable to stay for the night. Contacted Agoda to change the date to a week later, Agoda tried to arrange with the hotel but it was rejected. Understandable. Agoda's staff was helpful and patient to listened on my unfortunate event. Contacted the hotel directly hopefully they will be... More

Chinatown hotel is not a tourist low cost hotel to stay, it's more like a spot for Singapore General Hospital to sleep overnight here because it's just munite away of walking from the SGH. And the facilities of this hotel was terrible, the rooms were small, though the hotel serves breakfast, the breakfast area was too small to have breakfast.... More

Staying in Chinatown

Neighborhood Profile
Chinatown
Chinatown is a classic combination of colorful sights, enticing smells, and sometimes startling sounds. The precinct is unique, however, in its blending of religions and cultures. A Hindu temple, an Islamic mosque, and a Chinese Buddhist temple sit almost side by side. This sense of cultural harmony continues as you venture just outside of Chinatown to the nightlife areas of Club Street and Duxton Hill. There you’ll mingle with Singapore’s multicultural residents at the modern bars and restaurants dotting the bustling streets. An afternoon in and around Chinatown will leave you culturally enlightened, well fed, and loaded with souvenirs. In the evening, reward yourself with a well-deserved cocktail as the locals come out to play.
