The hotel is 2 blocks from chinatown subway station, very close to stores, restaurants and some sightseeings, it´s a very nice area. There´s a good breakfast included on the price, and the cleaning is ok, the biggest problem is the rooms are too much small and the bathroom is still smaller, other problem is, there´s no window in the room... I stayed here with a friend because we heard good things about this hostel. We are two backpackers and stayed here for one night. But if you are a backpacker and expect a backpackers hostel, don't go here. It is more like a family inn and a lot of older people on business are staying in the dorms as well.... More

A group of 5 of us stayed at 5footway in Chinatown and we thoroughly enjoyed the convenience of the location. There are food outlets all around - from local food to western. Just 5 minutes of walking is the MRT station and we literally came straight from the airport via the train to the hostel - no problems! The cleanliness... More

I had just come from little India (fernloft -don't bother there) and this place was fantastic! Clean and friendly, lots of separate showers and toilets. Always clean!!! Breakfast was free and substantial with cereal, toast, jams, spreads, coffee machine and filtered water. Not really enough cups and spoons but it was manageable. Right in the heart of China town, walking... More

We were in Singapore on an 18-hour layover. We took the MRT to Chinatown, walked out and down one street and saw this place open. They checked us in at midnight. The room was four bed and then a ladder took us to an "attic-like" area with two single beds, which had a certain amount of privacy considering we were... More

Just recently returned from Singapore yesterday. Me and my spouse stayed at the hostel for a duration of 4 days 3 nights. We opted to stay in the private room with ensuite bathroom. Bookings was made via their main site and the full final payment was made during check-in. Bear in mind that they do not receive credit card for... More

Staying in Chinatown

Neighborhood Profile
Chinatown is a classic combination of colorful sights, enticing smells, and sometimes startling sounds. The precinct is unique, however, in its blending of religions and cultures. A Hindu temple, an Islamic mosque, and a Chinese Buddhist temple sit almost side by side. This sense of cultural harmony continues as you venture just outside of Chinatown to the nightlife areas of Club Street and Duxton Hill. There you’ll mingle with Singapore’s multicultural residents at the modern bars and restaurants dotting the bustling streets. An afternoon in and around Chinatown will leave you culturally enlightened, well fed, and loaded with souvenirs. In the evening, reward yourself with a well-deserved cocktail as the locals come out to play.
