If you are looking for a place which is not too expensive and value for money this is the right hotel. Not too fancy but has ample amenities which makes your stay comfortable. Rooms are small but clean. Centrally located. Mrt is five minutes by bus which you can catch from right infront of the hotel. Location is good.

A lot has been written about the noise. And yes, street-facing rooms are indeed pretty noisy (even with earplugs). Location is so so as it really takes 10-15 min to the MRT. The bus station right opposite the hotel can be helpfull in avoiding walking but it is time-consuming to wait and then travel to the next MRT. There is... More

This Hotel is well worn and in need of a paint inside. However the rooms were comfortable with good shower rooms. Good for the price. We recommend to eat and drink accross the street at the Lavender Food Hub for good food.

This hotel is good value, The rooms are very comfortable terrific showers. A historic building which has been renovated. Nice bedding and linens. Breakfast is very good at the adjoining restaurant. This hotel is a good choice in singapore for an overnight stay.

This hotel is located near Little India, and very close to a subway station. A traditional hawker food court is right in front. The facilities are very clean, the wi-fi is good and the fare is low. Recommended for people looking for high value for little money.

The building has been well-conserved and many items of decorations make this hotel unique. But it is still not everything, the room are not well designed at all, the bathroom are on the windows side (never seen before) so you feel trap or locked inside a cell. The quality of the bed is average, I would say almost uncomfortable. I... More

I only stayed one night in this hotel but I liked its character. My room was situated at the back of the hotel so less noise. The bed was extremely comfortable, as was the pillow, two very important aspects of a good sleep! A great shower in the bathroom, the whole room was clean, nothing broken and more than adequate... The retro Oriental design, especially at the landing of each floor, complete with distressed walls and old-style furniture, cabinets, patterned tile floors, and wooden shuttered windows made me feel like I'm in an Oriental action movie. It felt like any moment Jet Li or Chow Yun Fat would emerge from the narrow halls beating up villains. I sincerely like the... More

The hotel is technically part of Little India but it's near Lavender also. There are a few bus stops within the area but the train station is about a 10-minute walk. The rooms are small but I guess it's okay for given the price. Also, every time we walk into the room, it smelled deodorant-y which I personally don't like.... More

I cannot understand the many negative comments about this hotel. It was one of the best I stayed in Singapore. Of course, rooms are not spacious in this expensive city. Was it noisy, what some people complain ? No, only my bathroom was facing the noisy Jalan Besar street. Not the bedroom, which however indirect day-light coming from bathroom. Really... More
