The hotel has a unique theme, which is the peranakan style. The buildings was renovated but still maintain the old peranakan style. When I entered there, I felt like I was in the old movies set. I love the concept of the hotel. The food here was also served in the old metallic plate. Things could've been better with my... More

The Kam Leng is a small hotel in an older building. The hallways are a maze which takes a bit of navigating. The room was small and cramped but clean. The bathroom was basic and old-fashioned. The location is not ideal and getting to the train stations and the shopping centres requires some walking. The staff were friendly and helpful.

This is a very unique hotel. The old building has been adopted to the hotel. Renovated what's necessary for the comfort of guest without destroying old and unique elements of it (some walls for example) makes this place great. Combination of the modern and old elements where nothing is spontaneous but rather planned and according to architect idea. Rooms are... More

The hotel is really unique! Room was clean, bathroom was quite spacy and service was nice. Staff really helpful to foreigners who speak English and Malay. But, because it is located right in the city, you'll hear some traffic noises at night. For me, it doesn't matter. Anyway, it is near the bus and MRT station, and really convenient to... More

Came here after our two week cruise. Need a place for a few before we decided to move on to our next destination. We got 2 nights stay as we have no idea of this hotel and to avoid disappointments. Room we got first one next to the elevator was huge. Enough space to move around and each of us... More

Stayed here for a week and had a great time. Great location with several MRT stations within walking distance and a major bus stop just a few metres down on the opposite side of the road. The rooms are spacious and immaculately clean, breakfast menu is diverse and all the options were really good. Service was really good - we... More

Don't ever stay here. It's over priced and dirty! Pay the extra money and get something better. It's just an expensive backpacker hotel. The rooms are tiny and if swinging a cat is one of your hobbies you won't be able to do more than a 90 degree cat swing.

Location wise: Near Mustafa (shopping area) 3 stops from Lavender MRT Area: Have several food stalls nearby, just walking distance and have 7/11 in front, plus close to bus stop. Hotel: The edifice is old but still nice. It's like a typical old house. Room: Just nice for couple, but the carpet needs some shampooing. It smells mouldy, and we have to... More

The hotel was located on Jalan Besar, opposite to a food centre. It's quite far away from Lavender or Farrar Park MRT stations. It's even harder if you carry your luggage and walk along the road from either of the two MRT stations to the hotel. The air con at the lobby is strong, which is good, but the air... More
