Modern, funky decor but still with a local feel. Yes the rooms are small but not nearly as small as some we have stayed in in LA or NY. Thoughtfully designed with everything you need incl nice toiletries. We were only there overnight so the quaint room suited us fine. So close to Club street for nite life and awesome... More

Stayed here a night over the weekend, called before going over and was told that check in time was at 2pm. Arrived at 2.30pm and was made to wait half an hour before my room was ready. Whats the point of telling guests that check in time is at 2pm if the rooms arent ready till 3pm? Roomwise, clean and... More

First off, I made the choice of booking a Quaint room with no window. Having known this going in, I am not going to hold it against the hotel on this review now. With that said, a small room with no window still felt a bit claustrophobic. The bathroom, accessed thru a closet-like opening behind the door, is not very... More

Dear travelingrooster69, Thank you for taking the time to share your review about your recent stay with us. It is unfortunate that our room and some of the aspect are not up to your expectations. Being a Heritage building, to preserve the look and the building structure, we do have constrains and limitations with the hotels design and rooms configuration.... More

I chose this hotel as it was inexpensive by the standards of Singapore Location is ok for airport There are nice touches with a good coffee machine, crisps, mnm's, orio's in jars all located in reception Our room was small but functional and had no window At check in receptionist was desperate to tell me the rules (after all we... We stayed for 2 nights in Quaint rooms (NO WINDOW). It didn't bother us most of time we were out shopping and sightseeing. Customer service were great! The room was clean and nice but small. Great Location. Close to MRT and China town. We will defitnely come back again but with window this time.

I never thought I would write this of a Singaporean hotel, as most of my experiences in this island state have been pleasant. But throughout our 4 night stay at Naumi Liora, our patience was tested time and time again. My brother and I arrived at 1030am of Wednesday. And while hotel policy clearly dictates that check-in is not until... More

Great location, only about 10 min. From the MRT and 5 min. Walk from restaurants and shops. We got a very nice welcome by the wonderful staff at the reception. Appearances ARE deceiving in this hotel. We stayed for 7 nights and it was a nightmare. We were never told except when we checked in. The room has NO WINDOW. I suspect that a room like this would be illegal in many countries. So, at the end of the day, it is just a very expensive shoe box. The only... More

The only positive aspect of this hotel is its location in Chinatown, 10 min walking distance to the nearest MRT station. Apart from that, it was a fairly disappointing experience. The room was tiny and with no window! I repeat: no window. I have been to dozens of hotels and even backpackers in my life and I have never suffered... More

Very stylish boutique hotel in a row of traditional han houses 5 min walk to Chinatown centre. Windows are not able to be opened, traffic and noise is relatively low at night,... More

Staying in Chinatown

Neighborhood Profile
Chinatown
Chinatown is a classic combination of colorful sights, enticing smells, and sometimes startling sounds. The precinct is unique, however, in its blending of religions and cultures. A Hindu temple, an Islamic mosque, and a Chinese Buddhist temple sit almost side by side. This sense of cultural harmony continues as you venture just outside of Chinatown to the nightlife areas of Club Street and Duxton Hill. There you’ll mingle with Singapore’s multicultural residents at the modern bars and restaurants dotting the bustling streets. An afternoon in and around Chinatown will leave you culturally enlightened, well fed, and loaded with souvenirs. In the evening, reward yourself with a well-deserved cocktail as the locals come out to play.
