Ok, so this was the smallest hotel room I've ever stayed in. The floor area was about 8 sq metres, plus bed. For two people it became an exercise in logistics as we had to use the space one person at a time. One person on the bathroom at a time, one person getting dressed at a time, whilst the... More

Plus: - Good location, walking distance to bus stop and MRT station. Good for exploring. - Many delicious food places nearby, especially Chinese food. - Good and modern design. - Informative and attentive front desk staffs. Cons: - We received towels with big holes for 2 nights. - One day I clipped my nails in the morning, and to my... More

This is an old converted shop house style building in the heart of Chinatown and very close to MTR, entertainment, CBD etc. The room I had though was microscopic and was straight on to the road on the ground floor. It's a lovely old building though and very quaint - a real boutique hotel. The lobby and common areas are... More

Thank you for your review on TripAdvisor. First of all, we would like to thank you for choosing Naumi Liora as your choice of stay. The hotel is housed in a 155-year old heritage building, and due to conservancy, structural changes are limited, thus the rooms come in various sizes, even under similar category. It's a pity that you did... More

I had a very long layover in Singapore after travelling from Europe, so I decided to stay in a hotel in the city instead of one of the airport hotels. My aim was to have a good sleep and a look around Chinatown, instead of a 17 hour stay at the airport. Naumi Liora was very appealing for my choice,... More

It is good to know that you're pleased with the lobby design and also our Nibbles snack corner, which serves complimentary snacks, ice cream, coffee and tea throughout the day and night. Arrived on a 1am flight & got taxi to Naumi Liora. Concierge is open 24 hours, greeted by friendly young staff who checked us in. We told them of our plans to check out in the morning & asked if we could store our baggage until that evening before catching our next flight to Europe. This was absolutely fine &... More

We had room with no window which although felt a bit claustrophobic gave us a great sleep in as we never knew what the time was lol. The hotel staff seemed ok I thought they lacked a general friendliness. I thought the free coffee, snacks were nice touch even though I didn't try. Location is without a doubt the best... More

Thank you for your review on TripAdvisor. We are sorry to know that your stay was not up to your expectations. The Quaint room which you've stayed, comes without any windows but has a lofty ceiling, imitating an attic design. We hope that does not deter you from staying with us again. You're absolutely right about the location of the... More

Booked this hotel last minute but had to postpone the date due to flight delay. The hotel reservation staff was understanding and let me change the booking date at the last minute. That's definitely a thumbs up for me. There was a room with balcony available so decided to upgrade. It was the right decision. The balcony was nicely done... More

We stayed here for 3 days in one of the upstairs rooms without a window, if you're not spending a great deal of time in the room besides sleeping the lack of a window is no problem. The room is good size, and we had no noise issues unlike some others have reported - earplugs were provided in case. The... More

I've just returned from 5 nights at the Naumi Liora with my teenage son. We loved this hotel - in a buzzing location surrounded by cool small bars/restaurants, hawker markets, Chinatown and 2 MRT stations within 5 mins walk. The Heritage room had plenty of space - the bathroom was compact, but perfectly functional and the toiletries were replenished daily.... More

Staying in Chinatown

Neighborhood Profile
Chinatown
Chinatown is a classic combination of colorful sights, enticing smells, and sometimes startling sounds. The precinct is unique, however, in its blending of religions and cultures. A Hindu temple, an Islamic mosque, and a Chinese Buddhist temple sit almost side by side. This sense of cultural harmony continues as you venture just outside of Chinatown to the nightlife areas of Club Street and Duxton Hill. There you’ll mingle with Singapore’s multicultural residents at the modern bars and restaurants dotting the bustling streets. An afternoon in and around Chinatown will leave you culturally enlightened, well fed, and loaded with souvenirs. In the evening, reward yourself with a well-deserved cocktail as the locals come out to play.
