Charming hotel in the perfect spot, at the heart of the buzziest area in Singapore. Great character, in a beautiful renovated terrace. Very friendly staff. Rooms at the back overlook a peaceful green Park. We'll certainly go back.

We booked through Expedia when they had a special going on. Though the room we had is small and has no windows, we need to remember that this is Singapore where space is a premium. The room is reasonably clean and although small, is adequate for us as we're out and about during the day and were just there to... More

I've left this review a week hoping my view of this hotel might soften. First off I will say is the staff are fantastic and my review does not reflect on their professionalism. When the door was opened to our ground floor room I was immediately hit by how small it was. It was very poorly lit by just 4... More

We stayed for over a week we had to pay extra to get a room with a window. The rooms are small not well cleaned. The linen is past its used by date. Location requires use of taxis or MRT. This is a two star at the most hotel that charges at four star prices, there area many better hotels... More

Excellent location, easy access to MRT station(Outram Park Exit H ), plenty restaurant nearby, must try the toast in nearby Tong Ah Eating House!! Close to the Chinatown shopping place.ataff are helpful. Like the snack bar in lobby too.

Very Comfortable rooms(but they look bigger in the photographs) with close proximity to china town. The staff is very polite and efficient. The street has some great eating joints as well. The famous "Study" is right next door.

Although rooms are a little small, the place is cosy and comfortable. Lobby is modern and cute with those snacks and coffee machine. Staff are pleasant, though some more than others. Travellers who are larger in size may want to opt for rooms with a larger shower area though. The breakfast is quirky, with tickets allowing you to eat at... More

Husband and I first time in Singapore and budgeted $100 for 2 days after our Bali trip. Hotels in Singapore are expensive and many are located on Orchard Rd. We were there to do some sightseeing, learn about the country, and eat all the great food we heard so much about. The best place to experience all this great and... More

Stayed for two nights at this hotel. Got the metro from the airport and it was a 5 minute walk to the hotel which was good. Very welcoming staff on arrival, nice reception area. Staying in Chinatown

Neighborhood Profile
Chinatown
Chinatown is a classic combination of colorful sights, enticing smells, and sometimes startling sounds. The precinct is unique, however, in its blending of religions and cultures. A Hindu temple, an Islamic mosque, and a Chinese Buddhist temple sit almost side by side. This sense of cultural harmony continues as you venture just outside of Chinatown to the nightlife areas of Club Street and Duxton Hill. There you’ll mingle with Singapore’s multicultural residents at the modern bars and restaurants dotting the bustling streets. An afternoon in and around Chinatown will leave you culturally enlightened, well fed, and loaded with souvenirs. In the evening, reward yourself with a well-deserved cocktail as the locals come out to play.
