Carlton Hotel Singapore is good hotel, it's no too far from City Hall MRT Station, just walk about 5 minute. The receptionist is very helpful, especially when ordering a taxi to go to the airport in the early morning. Comfortable and quiet rooms, and breakfast is quite good.

Perfect location; right in the centre of the city. Staff up to standard but no more than that. Beds comfortable and very modern bathroom/ wetroom. Overall great place for business trips however I personally would not take children there.

The Carlton is in a good location opposite the famous Raffles and a 20 minute walk to Chinatown. Loved the room, it was spacious and well appointed. We were in the premier rooms and travelled with a group of 7 friends. The hotel pool was unfortunately closed for renovations so we were disappointed about that but then the hotel compensated... Good location, but pretty standard hotel. Very nice lobby and friend stuff. Close to the subway and attractions. We only stayed for 1 night, price is reasonable, the standard of the hotel is quite average. The newer wing might be better, but you are not here to stay in your hotel there are plenty of better places to hang around... More

... wow... when walking in, the lobby area is vast. Metres and metres of reception desks. Quick and helpful though. Room nice - in the newer wing. Only problem was, bar advertises a "happy hour" but the sign in front of the bar, on an A-frame does not say what "happy hour" includes (i.e. house wines, beers or spirits) and... More

Just about the only good thing is the location - just a short walk down to Clark Quay, subway sation also very close. Apart from that: The room - quit pricey!!! - was very dated and not really clean. Aircon didn't work very well. Room wasn't made up unteil late in the afternoon. There was absolutely no view - you... More

Spent 2 nights in the new wing and had a spacious room with very nice combined shower and bath tub glass room - very spa-like. Breakfast buffet looks impressive but contains less than it seems. Tried to get late checkout due to late flight but 5 hours extra triggers yet another day full rate. Nice location. A standard modern 4star... More

Stayed in the executive room with my girlfriend for 2 nights. Room was spacious and nicely decorated. Front desk staff Lea and another male staff were of outstanding service when we checked in. Room service staff was also efficient and courteous, food arrived after 10-15 minutes. Housekeeping deserve a thumbs up. After a long day out, our room was tidied... More

So disappointing when you're spending 3 days plus in a hot tropical climate of course a pool is so essential and a big part of the relaxation time you are so looking forward to after a long flight and long holiday away. Just can't believe the Hotel didn't have the decency to advise us the pool would be closed prior... More
