We are returning guests at The Duxton because we simply love this neighbourhood... As mentioned in my earlier review in April 2014, the location is great. Easy access to landmarks in Chinatown and Tanjong Pagar MRT station with F&B outlets featuring different cuisines to suit all budgets. Convenience aside, this neighbourhood and this building… has a "soul". We got Suite... More

My 3rd stay here this year. Gave them some patience cause although the room were pokey and actually quite dirty if you really look/the bar service is slower than the trip it would take them to another country for the ingredients and the incessant calling up for wifi every day when no one answers the phone is frustrating - anyway... Gorgeous Girlfriend and I stayed over in Singapore on our way to New Zealand. If you like something out of the ordinary, with a great big dollop of shabby chique, the Duxton is just the job. Yes, the carpets are worn. Yes, a lick of paint would help. But if the Duxton were modernized the world would lose a charming... More

Used to use the this hotel for putting all my overseas clients in, as it was close to my office, whilst working in Singapore. Being a boutique hotel in a great part of town, we were looking forward to going back to Singapore and staying there after quite a few years. The hotel is now very tired looking and the... More

Had a staycation. I'd say, it's an old building made good with a nostalgic feel. The rooms are ok. Hotel is surrounded with eateries, pubs and walking distance to the MRT. Night feels like a ghost town, that is if you are not into drinking.

I have been extended another 5 nights stay in Singapore to complete my mission. The Duxton Hotel served us the satisfaction services and assigned us very nice room indeed. Even though it's quite old but it feels more classic and elegant style. Breakfast for me it's quite poor, there were not much variety of food but we can order fried... More

We booked one of the Duplex Suites for an event and the staff was very nice to put in extra effort to give us a romantic feel. The room is spacious although a little worn out at some spots; the stairs sounded creaky and looked like it might buckle under someone's weight anytime. Front office staff was also prompt upon... We stayed in this hotel in October 2012 and again July 2014. Both times in one of the rooms with the upstairs loft. On the second visit we were a little disappointed with the room, it needed repair work, the grab rail in the shower came off with the tile still attached, and when you looked at the tiles this... It was still a great place to stay. The place is a bit dated, but on purpose. With all the glitz of Singapore this was a quiet, relief. I have been looking for a regular place to stay....this will be it. It's also in a very convenient location!

Staff pleasant , great location for Chinatown , breakfast good , lured by cheap offer but the room was shabby - get what you paid for , but pleasant atmosphere . Told the hotel will be closing as new owners will be doing up the place . Used to host the aigle d'or Michelin star restaurant - superb in its... More
