did a lot of research and almost booked the Peninsula Excelsior on a good deal which could not due to a credit card glitch. and since the hotel prices started climbing decided to home in on a four star property centrally located. happy chose grand pacific. their rooms are spacious but could be upgraded or refurbished. their breakfast spread is... Only one night for a Visa run and booked by my company with late check out. 350 Singapore dollars. Front staff efficient. Good complimentary wifi. The room ( 12th floor) is what I imagine public housing in the Soviet era must have been like. Tiny, dark, dated, worn and a view obstructed by dirty windows. From 11 am onwards I... More

Stayed for 2 days for a short vacation. Seems the hotel caters mainly for Chinese tourists. There's a Chinese restaurant so Muslim guests will look for meals outside, which thankfully is nearby. A basic gym and a small pool to complete my review. Nothing great to say. Staff is friendly as should be expected. Rooms are clean, but can be... More

Stayed there twice, 2 nights before a cruise and one afterwards. A superior room had been booked on each occasion. Having read some of the comments we asked for a quiet room and our first room was on the 14th floor and very quiet. This room had been refurbished and was pleasant for our short stay. One big bonus was... More

First impressions don't seem to matter at this place - usual po faced Asian service ... surprising as all the other staff I met were super friendly! Rooms are a good size for the price with desk and armchair. Bed very comfortable, note not soft. Safe inside lit wardrobe very useful. Bathroom most disappointing; needs upgrading. Pull up 'button' for... More

We stayed here for two nights at the end of a cruise. It is advertised as a 4 to 5 star hotel - I'm afraid I'd class it as no more than 2 star!! We were booked into what was deemed a "Premier" room on the 8th floor. As soon as we entered, my wife was rushing off, back to... More

I stayed here for 4 nights with my partner. Rooms are nice, hotel is clean, has a pool and washing machines which is handy if you've been traveling for a while like I have. Excellent location near 2 mrts. Word of warning, reception staff not very helpful and I booked this hotel through booking.com and was told that no payment... More

Hotel in the centre of Singapore. Orchard road, boat and clarke key within walking distance. The hotel itself is average. Rooms are small, windows not perfectly closing, causing a lot of noise from the ac system outside to bother you nightrest. Pool is small, breakfast ok.

My wife and I recently enjoyed two nights at this centrally placed hotel. The room was as expected, large with a newly furnished en suite- the hotel has undergone some extensive refurbishment- king size bed, wardrobe, drawers and tea/coffee making facilities. Air con was quiet at night but we did not need it on 'high'. The room was well insulated... More

probably one of the best locations, close to business district, close to a few touristy hangouts, couple of minutes walk to MRT, plus a lot of eating and shopping options in and around the hotel. Service good, staff courteous. i loved the wifi connectivity. The only issues were that the room was pretty ordinary, not comparable to other 4 star... More
