The hotel was built in the 1970s and is trapped in a time warp. The reception and some areas have seen refurbishment but too much of the hotel is dated and tired. This hotel is between the city and the airport and we were given the room because we had to transit overnight. Although the hotel appeared a bit run down from outside it was pleasant and quiet (we were upgraded to the 7th floor away from the lifts). This hotel is due to be knocked down in a couple of months - its cheap and OK to stay in, but the "nightclubs" downstairs are what draw most male visitors. Phillipino and Vietnamese prostitutes at least 300 strong fill these clubs and entertain guests who venture there back at their rooms... more
