I have traveled all over the world on an almost weekly basis for business for over 10 years. My experience at this hotel was beyond anything else. Excellent property and location, great food and a great room. What really set it off was the service. The employees were practically tripping over each other to help. I was greeted by my... More

We have stayed at the Mandarin Oriental Hotel many times over the years and find it hard to not return. Kingsize beds are super comfortable, views accross the habour are scenic, if not spectacular when incoming storms decide to invade your holiday. Add the laser show at night from the surrounding building tops to give you a reason to enjoy... More

Here again after many many visits over the years, always remembered by ours names as soon as we enter the hotel, the staff are taught to look at photos of past guest who are arriving, which is a good idea. We were there for Christmas and had a Harbour view room .even though we had seen the New Years Eve fireworks many... More

I arrived at the Mandarin Oriental Singapore directly from Hong Kong where I'd also stayed at the Mandarin Oriental. Now that was a fabulous experience, that I would rate with 5 stars. Amex recommended and they did a great job. This was however a contrast. The hotel is luxurious but not comparable with its HK sister hotel. Difficult to identify... More

We stayed at Mandarin Oriental Bangkok two years ago. and it was beyond superb and excellent. And that is why we were quite disapointed with our stay at Mandarin Oriental Singapore. from the first glance evrything is fine: service, lobby, etc. but when you enter a room you understand that it is not what you expected from Mandarin Oriental. we... I stayed two nights at the Mandarin Oriental on the club level. I was upgraded to a suite which was very nice. The breakfast was also excellent. The staff and service were simply amazing. It made the entire stay great. Highly recommended.

What I liked: - Good room layout and ample closet space even is a regular room - Complimentary juices and tea/coffee in the check in area while you wait - Interconnected to a couple of malls via elevated walkways (but then this is standard for Singapore) - Excellent choice and spread at breakfast - with many dishes being prepared fresh... We didn't stay at this hotel, but we wandered past the entrance, very hot and frustrated at not being able to flag down a taxi to get back to our own hotel. The doormen were just wonderful - they gave us free bottles of water (I said we were hot) and call a cab for us (we were frustrated) and... More

Our 12 day stay at the Oriental in a Club room was great. All the essential boxes ticked. However after such a long stay I expected a somewhat warmer response from staff. Staff were exemplary but did lack some warmth. I can only put it down to training as it was a feeling we got from just about everyone. The... More

I stayed here while on a business trip. Service is fantastic - I landed early morning and despite check in being at 2:00 pm they gave me early check in complimentary along with a room upgrade. The room had a fantastic view of Marina Bay Sands, the Flyer and Gardens by the Bay. The breakfast was a large buffet spread... More

Staying in Marina Bay

Neighborhood Profile
Marina Bay
More of a mini city than a neighborhood in the traditional sense, the iconic Marina Bay aims to dazzle and entertain visitors of all kinds. This is the Singapore found in glossy brochures, featuring a world-class hotel, casino, shops, restaurants, bars, and other attractions all geared towards pure entertainment. The SkyPark at Marina Bay Sands provides a stunning view of the city, a must-see photo opportunity for visitors and locals alike. The ArtScience Museum always has a top-quality exhibition, and Gardens by the Bay is a fascinating manifestation of the government’s vision of Singapore as a “city in a garden”. Enticing Marina Bay is well worth a visit.
