Building / grounds : Big brownish building. From the inside, it looks like what was supposed to be futuristic in the 70s'. Neither very cosy nor beautiful. It's been fully renovated in 2005. Location : Not very convenient during daytime as it is quite far from the shopping spots and the MRT but walking to the esplanade is quite enjoyable... more

Over the last three weeks we spent four nights at the Mandarin Oriental on our want to and from New Zealand. We had stayed there a couple of years ago and were so delighted we decided to go back,no regrets. We booked there limousine service to pick us up at the airport, well worth it.We landed at Changi at 5.45am from manchester and... more

I stayed in this hotel for a week in the Oriental Club room. The room is worth the extra few bucks because you're able to use the Oriental Club Lounge, which offers breakfast in the morning (avoid the crowds at the main restaurant), then tea-time with snacks and drinks during the day and a champagne cocktail hour in the evening... more

Stayed for three nights on the way back from Aus. Notified a significant wedding anniversary in advance and got upgraded to a harbour view suite on floor 16. Greeting letter and S$125 bottle of red wine at room service prices provided. Service was as good as you could get from waiters to concierge to desk staff. Could have sat for... more

Nice hotel, but certainly starting to show its age, relative to the newer Mandarin's around the world. As usual, the service was great. more

We stayed for 2 nights on the club floor. Whilst all the facilities and features of the MO are there we did find a number of flaws but the senior management were very genuine in their committment to dealing with these. The rooms themselves are on the small side (34 m2) for a top hotel but they are extremely well... more

What a treat to stay at the Mandarin Oriental. The surroundings are excellent, as you'd expect. The staff are incredible and really seem to go above and beyond to ensure guest satisfaction. An initial problem with my room was quickly fixed with a move to another room. All meals I had in the hotel were accompanied by a 'little extra'... more

Having been to Singapore before for only a brief stay, we decided to stop off for a longer stay and rest on our way to Australia. We choose the Mandarin Oriental, Singapore as it looked the best from the ones on offer by our Travel Agent. The Hotel, staff and restaurants were simply superb, the rooms felt larger than normal,... more

This hotel is dishonest to the Mandarin Oriental Brand name. I was a "giant fan" of the mandarin oriental hotels always basing my next holiday destination on where there hotels are located around the world HOWEVER the Mandarin in Singapore is a complete disappointment. Here is a run down of my disappointments with the hotel; 1. Its chinese new year... more

The above hotel was the last one before flying back to the United Kingdom and it was fabulous. Our room was fantastic, just as shown on the internet. We were upgraded at no extra cost. How lucky was that! I think the only difference was in the view as the friends we were with had paid for an upgraded room... more
