We were there for my birthday and we arrived around 11pm from Malaysia. Good thing that our reservation was still honored. We were given the rooms in the 4th floor and it wasn't easy hauling our luggages in the steep and narrow staircase. The rooms were small but clean. There were several bathrooms and 2 toilets outside. There was also... More

Low cost to satisfy the overall expectations.Convernient transport,Friendly and pleasant staff, clean room and toilet.over all good place to stay.I just recommend this place to stay for the travellers trip. And I suggest the tripadvisor team and the travellers some people write bad reviews about this place.Don't trust that type of fake reviews.I tell you these in my experience.

This is the worst experience ever in my entire life. The room was found very dusty (Yes, can be easily seen with our naked eyes). The worst part is the shared toilet was very smelly as well as the shared bathrooms. Believe it or not, my friends and I have found the used sanitary pads in the shared bathrooms! Moreover,... More

Thin wall with two plastic sliding doors at both side of room wall that has a gap in between, lack of privacy even in private rooms and extremely noise pollution due to the super thin wall. Could even hear snoring from the next room. Stained mattress sheets and bed bug infested bed. Toilets and shower room filthy.

I have stayed in Mercury Backpackers Hostel during my trip in SE Asia. We price was quite fair in expensive Singapore. It was not very hard to find - close to metro station - Lavender MRT Station, like 5 min. by foot. 7/11 was just around the corner. Vending machines for cold drink just outside. Room was really really tiny.... More

I have just checked out of this place this morning. Good enough place to stay in. The staff were helpful and friendly. The room reasonable. I just wish there would be enough keys and not just one key per room. And a smoking area perhaps? But overall it was an amazing place at a reasonable price.

A good place to stay. Clean, enough facilities. very friendly and helpfull staff. Rooms and beds are simple, but there is all you need and everything works properly. About 300 meters from a metro-station. Easy to walk to Little India. Asian Foodplaza and other restaurants in the neighbourhood. Near to busticketoffices for busses to Malaysia. I stayed in June2014. Most of the share bathrooms are half translucent! Because those orange sticker on the wall were pulled off many spots. Furnitures and hostel are damp and dusty, and yes,the room was too tiny for 4 people. No elevator so don't bring too much belongings.
