First off, you don't pay a lot for this place, so, my friend and I got a mini room with two bunk beds and had to share with other people. The beds kinda smelled. The shared bathrooms were messy and packed with people's personal belongings hanging or placed all over the space (toothbrush, shoes, clothes). Their only saving grace was... More

Only good thing is location: less than 5 min. Walk to metro. Bed sheet had blood stains, condom wrapper on restroom sink, paper thin walls so you can hear your neighbors every sound, mold on the room ceiling, and lockers were falling apart. The restrooms are so dirty...not cleaned often and have a dark filth film on seat. Showers and... More

Bad service. Value for money per se is okay. Sleep Quality: my bed had a few dusts, I slept in my friend's bed instead. Don't expect too much on the hostel's cleanliness with a SG$25-bed. Location is good; 5-10 minute walk from the Lavender station, depending on your pace. Rooms: quite small (not for people with claustrophobia) They do offer... More

its a budget friendly hostel. dont expect too much for whatever you have paid. Good location, nearby Lavender MRT station, excellent wifi and nice rooftop Jacuzzi. I don't like the smelly bathroom/shower. The morning shift staff is not helpful, i prefer the evening staff more friendly and helpful.

This is my second time to stay here in Mercury hostel. - I love this place, accommodating staff. - 200 meters walk to Lavender MRT station and bus stations. - Clean rooms. - Cheaper than any other hostels. - Near Kopitiam! Will always go back here to stay! :)

Avoid this hostel - the behavior of the staff is aggressive, rude, and arrogant. The rooms are extremely small, and the ACs are running in a way that you can easily catch a cold. One of the worst experiences ever!

Singapore can be a little bit on the expensive side. The Mercury is in a good location with the MRT just around the corner. There is an awesome food court just around the corner (corner of Horne and Tyrwhitt Roads) that you can get great food (try the fish ball soup for $3.50 SGD). Large Bottles of Tiger at $6.50... More
