There are several Santa Grand hotels in Singapore. This one is a few doors away from another one. It is a tourist hotel, priced very reasonably. The location is excellent, just a two-minute walk from the metro. It is in the center of Chinatown, and convenient to everything in Singapore via the metro. The room was very small, but clean... I have a stay one night on the single room but Im a bit surprised that the website I've made booking doesn't mentioned there was no window, it was fine to me because only one night. The single room is pretty small but is ok for 1-2 nights. The hotel interior design has very tasteful classic chinese style and the... More

Aircon unit just near to the door and bed was at another corner. Feel very warm. Aircon should shift new to bed so u can feel the cool. Maybe hotel can install a mini fridge in the room. The shower curtain is to cover the toliet bowel area look funny. Should cover the door for privaticy.

We stay here for two nights. Location of the hotel is very good. Just 2 minutes walk to mrt station and chinatown is a good place to stay. Staff was friendly and helpful but other than this everything was bad. Rooms were too small that we cannot put our luggages even if we stay at superior room. Bathroom was also... More

The rooms do not have a mini fridge. rooms are small - the gap between the bed and the wardrobe is about 20cm to get to the other half of... More

I left a bag in the room, can I get the items returned? I'm happy to pay postage. Great position in china town, plenty of food options around the hotel, close to transport, neat tidy room, friendly staff.

Really different hotel which used to be an opera house so a cool lay out! We Liked our stay here as it is pretty central and right in the heart of Chinatown which we very much love, you can step out straight onto Smith street which is a real foodie place.

Stayed there during the Chinese new year period, good location as is few mins walk to MRT station but is too noisy at night which is the disadvantage. Price are reasonable for the location, rooms are small for single or even twin sharing.

Staying in Chinatown

Neighborhood Profile
Chinatown
Chinatown is a classic combination of colorful sights, enticing smells, and sometimes startling sounds. The precinct is unique, however, in its blending of religions and cultures. A Hindu temple, an Islamic mosque, and a Chinese Buddhist temple sit almost side by side. This sense of cultural harmony continues as you venture just outside of Chinatown to the nightlife areas of Club Street and Duxton Hill. There you’ll mingle with Singapore’s multicultural residents at the modern bars and restaurants dotting the bustling streets. An afternoon in and around Chinatown will leave you culturally enlightened, well fed, and loaded with souvenirs. In the evening, reward yourself with a well-deserved cocktail as the locals come out to play.
