Lovely little hotel in a good area, 10mins walk to MRT, there are also some cool little bars tucked away nearby on Arab St. Excellent shower, good room (Queen), spacious enough for us for a few days, although you won't want to spend much time indoors, there is so much to see. Staff were very helpful and kindly allowed us... More

A classic boutique hotel in Singapore, feel like at Kampong, which means village. The hotel is small and the rooms are generous in size and well appointed. Highly recommended this hotel. Stayed here for 5 nights.

My husband stayed 3 nights with me arriving the 3rd night, lucky I arrived 5am so didn't need to stay in room very long. The room was very small with the bed up against the wall. Not very convenient to get in and out of. His friends rooms were a 2 & 4 sqm bigger at the same cost. After... More

The Sultan was the perfect getaway for the long weeknd. The room we stayed in was ok in size but the shower was surprisingly spacious. Room came with a complimentary snack bar too so thats a plus. Would recommend taking rooms on the 2nd floor + facing away from the main rd (eg. jln sultan) to avoid noisy traffic. Bed... More

i like this hotel despite of... - no gym - no swimming pool - a jazz bar who transform himself into a very noisy nightclub on the wednesday night. I stayed 3 times in the Sultan. The 3 times i was obliged to move room. Once because of non functioning aircond, and the two others because they gave me a... More

I stayed here for two nights and would gladly stay here again. Stylish rooms, though the hotel clearly caters for the business traveller so may be considered somewhat soulless. Still, considering some of the places I've stayed in for business, it's great. This lack of character shouldn't be an issue, especially when you're in a great location and spending as... More

I checked into the sultan for 1 nite before departing for KL, i was amazed by the foyer and the dining area. The service was excellent, we got upgraded immediately. The mini bar had drinks and plenty of goodies, non alcoholic products all free of charge. I loved the ambience of Sultan. There was enough space to move around. TV... More

Stayed here for a weekend. Location is damn perfect. You could take shortcut from Bugis MRT to the Sultan by crossing Sultan Mosque and Malay Heritage Centre. Coz our room still not ready when we checked in at 3pm, the staff just upgraded us to other room, which is pretty awesome! The interior design is as you see on the website... More

Grabbed this Celebrate1965 promo, had requested a handicapped friendly room as my boyfriend is wheelchair bounded. However the bed was blocking half of the entrance to the bathroom. Will need to push the bed away whenever my boyfriend needs to access to the bathroom, and when he is done, will need to shift the bed in as the headboard blocked... More

Staying in Kampong Glam

Neighborhood Profile
Kampong Glam
This traditionally Malay enclave of Singapore offers an alluring array of shops, cafes, and bars. A walk down Haji Lane offers quirky shopping, while one block over, Arab Street is a treasure trove of brightly colored fabrics, clothing, and Turkish rugs. Stop for a leisurely coffee or cocktail and watch local kids play traditional games along the lane. Also home to the Malay Heritage Center and one of Singapore’s most prominent mosques (Sultan Mosque), Kampong Glam is a must-visit for a tantalizing taste of Malay life in this city.
