The hotel itself is very nice, the rooms are nicely renovated and decorated, it is very clean, the beds are comfortable, the bathroom clean and spacious. The only problem is that the walls are probably not that well insulated, so it is very easy to hear when other guests talk. We were probably a bit unlucky as well as there... More

I arrived at this hotel after 2pm (the official start time for check-in) and the woman behind the check in desk was less than friendly. Once I told her my name she told me my room was not ready. There was no apology and no suggestion of how to handle the matter. I had booked a room with two single... More

The location is ideal as it is near to MRT and food place. To celerate the new year, we book this place as we plan to see the fireworks near Kallang and since it just a stop a way from Nicoll Highway station, it is PERFECT!! Furthermore, the room is HUGE and clean... We enjoyed it so much. However, since... More

I had my solemnisation at the hotel Bar Room and I was told that it was their first time having a solemnisation being held. I feel so honoured! Nice of them to remove all the alcohol displays in respect of my religion. The bar room can cater 50-60pax of guests. But because on the day of event it was raining... More

Had a staycation with my friend, we were attracted at this architectural hotel which is located at the main road. Walking distance about 10mins from Bugis MRT. A lot of eating places are available along the hotel. Staff are friendly and helpful too. Hotel room considers a standard size which includes basic bathroom amenities. However, it's actually quite noisy. You... More

Lovely little hotel in a good area, 10mins walk to MRT, there are also some cool little bars tucked away nearby on Arab St. Excellent shower, good room (Queen), spacious enough for us for a few days, although you won't want to spend much time indoors, there is so much to see. Staff were very helpful and kindly allowed us... More

A classic boutique hotel in Singapore, feel like at Kampong, which means village. The hotel is small and the rooms are generous in size and well appointed. Highly recommended this hotel. Stayed here for 5 nights.

My husband stayed 3 nights with me arriving the 3rd night, lucky I arrived 5am so didn't need to stay in room very long. The room was very small with the bed up against the wall. Not very convenient to get in and out of. His friends rooms were a 2 & 4 sqm bigger at the same cost. After... More

The Sultan was the perfect getaway for the long weeknd. The room we stayed in was ok in size but the shower was surprisingly spacious. Room came with a complimentary snack bar too so thats a plus. Would recommend taking rooms on the 2nd floor + facing away from the main rd (eg. jln sultan) to avoid noisy traffic. Bed... More

Staying in Kampong Glam

Neighborhood Profile
Kampong Glam
This traditionally Malay enclave of Singapore offers an alluring array of shops, cafes, and bars. A walk down Haji Lane offers quirky shopping, while one block over, Arab Street is a treasure trove of brightly colored fabrics, clothing, and Turkish rugs. Stop for a leisurely coffee or cocktail and watch local kids play traditional games along the lane. Also home to the Malay Heritage Center and one of Singapore’s most prominent mosques (Sultan Mosque), Kampong Glam is a must-visit for a tantalizing taste of Malay life in this city.
