This is the first time I have ever given a review this low but I think that it is fair this time. We stayed at The Ardennes for 5 nights over GP weekend. The front desk staff were very friendly and the room was fine and a reasonable size for Singapore though the bathroom flooded every time you showered (judging... More

This hotel is is nestled away in a small, quiet street. It takes about 8-10min to walk either to Little India or Bugis shopping district. The room was small for the price but was clean & comfortable, the bathroom and decor stunning. The pool was located on the second floor and has an amazing glass floor that is above the... More

We found the staff at the hotel to be lovely and very helpful. Very modern fixtures and fittings. Room was very small but the bed and bedding was very comfortable. Breakfast was included however we think it needs to be improved or not provided at all, very disappointing. The location was very interesting but only a short walk along Victoria... More

First of all, the reason I book this hotel because I thought it close to the subway station and it pretty easy to find it--as many reviewers said here. But, I'm totally wrong! I'm not complaining about how the hotel looks like and the service. The service are pretty good actually, but it's frustrating me to find this hotel especially... More

I stayed at this hotel for 2 nights as a I was on a quick business trip. The hotel is just Ok. Staff are very kind and friendly, service is good, and the location is actually very convenient. Breakfast was very 'limited' and needs definitely to be improved. I had to take a proper breakfast outside of the hotel after... More

Very Friendly and accommodating Staff who were most helpful in guiding me during my stay. This boutique hotel offers several room types. \My room was accommodating and comfortable with a small refrigerator and nice flat screen TV. The bathroom was most impressive and very modern with a great shower. My only negative about the room was that the AC unit... More

This was the second hotel that we stayed in while on our vacation in Singapore. I had high expectations from this property as its rated 4 star on Booking.com. But to sheer surprise it was a real pain to even find this hotel. We got down at Bugis station and asked the locals and taxis about the hotel and the... More

Had a staycation at this little hotel located right in the middle of Lavender and Bugis road. Was given the black suite though I had initially booked for the floral suite. Even after I argued with the reception, the staff just simply refused to change to my original floral suite for me as they had given my room to another... More

The Ardennes is a well located 15 room boutique hotel. The interior is quite stylish and even though the room is small, it is neat and adequate. Given that Singapore hotels are expensive, this one is at the lower end of the range for those that claim to be 4 star. The property is only 5 minutes walk from Bugis... More

Staying in Kampong Glam

Neighborhood Profile
Kampong Glam
This traditionally Malay enclave of Singapore offers an alluring array of shops, cafes, and bars. A walk down Haji Lane offers quirky shopping, while one block over, Arab Street is a treasure trove of brightly colored fabrics, clothing, and Turkish rugs. Stop for a leisurely coffee or cocktail and watch local kids play traditional games along the lane. Also home to the Malay Heritage Center and one of Singapore’s most prominent mosques (Sultan Mosque), Kampong Glam is a must-visit for a tantalizing taste of Malay life in this city.
