Ardennes Hotel is a 3-4 year old boutique hotel right close to the Bugis shopping district. Not all taxi drivers are familiar with the hotel so it pays to know its address and other landmarks around the hotel. The hotel itself is set inside a transformed 3-floor shop house, yet most rooms are found on the 1st and 2nd floors.... More

We absolutely loved our stay at this hotel. The location is excellent, with it only being a 5-10 minute walk from the local subway station, a few minutes on the train brings you into the center of Singapore. The staff are extremely attentive, they cannot do enough. The hotel certainly isn't the biggest but that adds to its charm. Don't... More

This is a boutique hotel located near Jalan Sultan, the down town of SINGAPORE. The hotel is newly established (less than two years) and has about 15 rooms, comprises of standard and suites rooms. The rates are in the S$120--250 range; and currently having promotion with some discounts given. The rooms space is small and quite well furnished. The hotel... More

It's a small hotel where you are like a family. It's easy to be known, they have 7 or 8 rooms. Staff are really friendly and helpful.I came really early but could not check in earlier since the room was occupied and they had no alternative. I crashed on the sofa at the reception, but it was far too cold.... More

Modern hotel located near Raffles area by a short walk. Rooms are small, clean with an average bathroom. A swimming pool is available with glass botton that enables people in the restaurant to see people in the pool. Breakfast is not definetelly the best feature of this hotel, too much fat and artificial, in my opinion. I find this hotel... More

A little off centre for Singapore but only about a 20 minute stroll to Raffles, this little hotel is a gem. When I booked I sent a message saying a room high up would be good. When I arrived I was told it only had 3 floors 😄. My room was full of interesting stuff, like 2 chairs that belonged... More

Spent my one year anniversary at the flora II room with my boyfriend. The staff were so sweet they even wrote a card to congratulate us! Super happy with my stay. The bed was sooooo comfortable and the breakfast was awesome too! The hotel is situated at bugis street, which means many good food and cheap shopping!

located in the heart of Singapore, we chose this hotel because its a boutique hotel and away from the busy area. 10 minutes walk from arab street and just 2 mins walk away from a night bar. Hotel staff were helpful and the rooms were awesome! totally love it. came here twice and intending to come back again for sure!

The Ardennes is well-located and well-priced. However, the internet connectivity is inconsistent, unreliable and, when it's available, amazingly slow - especially for a hotel in tech-savvy Singapore. And here is another hotel with "designer" lighting that has not thought about or provided proper lighting so a woman can see to put on make-up!

Great location, accommodative staff, acceptable breakfast and clean rooms; what else would you want visiting a city where you spend most of your time outdoors. Located near Bugis, one of Singapore’s upcoming budget-shopping destinations, the hotel is 600 meters from the Bugis MRT and well inhabited for late night strolls. In case you are planning to travel to Johor Bahru... More

Staying in Kampong Glam

Neighborhood Profile
Kampong Glam
This traditionally Malay enclave of Singapore offers an alluring array of shops, cafes, and bars. A walk down Haji Lane offers quirky shopping, while one block over, Arab Street is a treasure trove of brightly colored fabrics, clothing, and Turkish rugs. Stop for a leisurely coffee or cocktail and watch local kids play traditional games along the lane. Also home to the Malay Heritage Center and one of Singapore’s most prominent mosques (Sultan Mosque), Kampong Glam is a must-visit for a tantalizing taste of Malay life in this city.
