At around SG$60, this is probably one of the lowest priced hotels in Singapore, that is not a hostel. It's respectable. Whilst the building is old and a bit shabby, the hotel is clean and well managed. Being located in the heart of Little India its full of Indian people and surrounded by Indian restaurants. The hotel elevator works OK,... More

Initial impression: Quick check in. Language barrier so not exactly friendly. Got to room and it is basic. No view from window except back of buildings. Bathroom window wide open and smell of curry throughout small room. Bathroom is small with shower over toilet. Room has 2 almost camp style beds. But sleeping area and bed sheets are clean, bathroom... More

Last year (2015) I have stayed there for one night. One of my colleagues advised me to book room in this hotel as he was also staying there. When I arrived hotel did not find any smile in the face of front desk executive. Rather seems he become angry. I requested for early check in but he declined my request.... More

I wanted to book this hotel for a friend of mine who was in transit here in Singapore but eventually I decided to choose another hotel. The hotel is located in a good area (Little India)and near the MRT station. Looking at the pictures it seems to be a good hotel where to spend 1-2 days. Its also not so... More

Room smells like pee (bought a perfume at Mustafa just to spray all over the room), heard other people in other rooms, bed isn't comfortable, no complementary water in rooms :( I only had a few hours stopover at Singapore: I would have rather slept at the Changi airport than stayed here for a night.

This is a fairly basic hotel in the heart of Little India. The room we were allocated was a hell hole. CONS: Our rear room was small and windowless, with mouldy walls (especially inside the tiny cupboard) - it stank of mustiness - a mid-room step (which we constantly tripped over), a hard mattress with springs just under the surface,... They gave us a very small room and other family who went there with us got another type of a room. If they do so they should have separate price ranges. For our room there were no windows and it was like a small cave. The receptionist was a very rude person and we couldn't negotiate with him about that... More

Staying in Little India

Neighborhood Profile
Little India
With a strong local Indian community, this pocket of Singapore can feel like another place and time. Wander past traditional barbershops while local residents in brightly colored saris patronize retailers from decades past. Peruse streets lined with colorful shops as the aroma of curry tempts you to indulge. Listen to the Bollywood music echoing from storefronts and take in the stalls selling bright flowers, fabrics, and spices. At the 24-hour, four-level Mustafa Shopping Center, you can shop through the night and find everything from pharmacy and grocery items to Bollywood DVDs and diamond necklaces. Singapore’s Little India offers a colorful, lively taste of the subcontinent and is well worth the visit.
