Stayed here for two nights with my daughter last week. Comfortable place to sleep, simple breakfast, good shower/bathroom facilities, Nice staff. Place to do laundry. Not far from public transportation- in Chinatown area. Hostel is very warm outside of sleeping quarters, which were comfortably air conditioned. Quality of sleep dependent on those you share sleeping area with. First night sleep... More

It was my first experience with a pod hostel. Wink is fairly cheap for Singapore's standard. Clean in both the sleeping areas, bathrooms and other shared facilities. It is quiet and reserved, if you want, for a sort of dorm room. The free breakfast is nothing to rave about, but it's something. Great location for exploring Singapore. Friendly staff.

Convenient location (2 min to MRT, asian foods surrounding, easy to buy gifts,...), clean, comfortable bed, great staffs. However, I did not like the top pod. It is realy hard to climb and so annoying if you have to get some things from bag. Anyway, it is good for one night.

I stayed at Wink Hostel for a night on the way through Singapore. The place was clean with good facilities on most parts.I found their breakfast offering was adequate and healthy and their staff very helpful with my requests. If I were to pinpoint any issues, I found the air conditioning in the rooms a little inadequate during the day... More

I did stay at this great hostel for 3 nights, the staff was friendly and helpful ! Everything was very clean and the pod style dorms are a great find. The location in Chinatown was great, close to the subway. I will stay here again on my next trip to Singapore !!

Very cool double pods, only go for a top pod if the room is busy ( when we went out room was empty so we had a choice, I picked the top and this was a mistake as sometimes its annoying having to climb up and down). Cool lighting and good use of space next to bed for personal items.... More

Winkhostel is very nicely located in Chinatown, I had to be for some personal business in the business district which is closeby and I went to a foodexpo in Marina Bay Sands which is only 3 mrt stops with the blue downtown line. Winkhostel is only a block away from the MRT! I enjoyed some good Singapore streetfood in the... More

Our team stayed at Wink Hostel back in February, and based on an excellent experience, we booked again for the SG50 celebrations. The staff at Wink Hostel is warm, friendly, and always ready to go the extra mile to service their customers. One staff member in particular, Michelle, even went above and beyond to find us some drinks when the... More

Well, this review is coming a bit late, sorry! I stayed here for 9 nights... Yep, 9! And during my entire stay I was never once disappointed or inconvenienced in any way. Here's a breakdown of the wink hostel experience: Location - Extremely convenient location considering the Chinatown MRT station is just 1 street behind, and Chinatown is close to... More

Staying in Chinatown

Neighborhood Profile
Chinatown
Chinatown is a classic combination of colorful sights, enticing smells, and sometimes startling sounds. The precinct is unique, however, in its blending of religions and cultures. A Hindu temple, an Islamic mosque, and a Chinese Buddhist temple sit almost side by side. This sense of cultural harmony continues as you venture just outside of Chinatown to the nightlife areas of Club Street and Duxton Hill. There you’ll mingle with Singapore’s multicultural residents at the modern bars and restaurants dotting the bustling streets. An afternoon in and around Chinatown will leave you culturally enlightened, well fed, and loaded with souvenirs. In the evening, reward yourself with a well-deserved cocktail as the locals come out to play.
