Chose this place because I have never stayed in a "capsule hotel" before. Was a really different experience and pretty good one as well. Public areas were clean, as well as the "capsule" itself. Price is appropriate, considering how clean and organized the place was. Although my room could have been shared by up to 8 girls (in 8 different... More

They have really big capsule beds and it was so comfortable I didn't even feel that I am in a hostel. The place is very clean (it's Singapore so I am expecting it) and the staff is well versed both in English and Mandarin. Must stay but quite pricey compared to the other places that offer the same value. Nevertheless,stay... More

We traveled to Singapore for Chinese New Year 2015. We had a group of 5, and we requested our own private room. I booked several months in advance, and each interaction with the Wink Hostel staff via e-mail was pleasant. They were extremely prompt about returning e-mails, and making sure everything was in order for our stay. Throughout the stay,... More

Being in downtown Chinatown was a great central location for touring Singapore. The staff was very friendly and happy to help out with any questions. The space was clean, organized, and pretty much perfect for a weekend exploring the area.

I stayed there for 3 nights after arriving from Lisbon. The hostel was very good and clean. Good amount of bathrooms and showers. The staff was very helpfull. Nice breakfast. Good location, in Chinatown and near the subway. Would stay there again.

Location: 3-5 minute walk to a Chinatown MRT station, which is close to most things you might want to do in Singapore. Also close to Chinatown itself and 2 major hawker centres (Maxwell, Lau Pa Sat) to fulfill your local cravings, in addition to other sights such as temples. Facilities: plenty of shower stalls and toilets. Never had to wait... More

Hi Robert M, Thanks for your kind feedback. We appreciate the succinct list of amenities/points you shared and also the many pics you posted! I'd certainly share your encouraging remark about our 24 hour service. This is a little of a struggle for us given Singapore's tight labour market and the strain of night shift duties. We are keen on... More

We stayed at Wink Hostel for 1 night on the 12th February, after flying in from Brisbane and only having one day in Singapore we were absolutely exhausted. The staff at Wink all spoke very good English, helped us with a map, had a tourist company bring over tickets for the Zoo, headed us in the best direction for food... More

Staying in Chinatown

Neighborhood Profile
Chinatown is a classic combination of colorful sights, enticing smells, and sometimes startling sounds. The precinct is unique, however, in its blending of religions and cultures. A Hindu temple, an Islamic mosque, and a Chinese Buddhist temple sit almost side by side. This sense of cultural harmony continues as you venture just outside of Chinatown to the nightlife areas of Club Street and Duxton Hill. There you’ll mingle with Singapore’s multicultural residents at the modern bars and restaurants dotting the bustling streets. An afternoon in and around Chinatown will leave you culturally enlightened, well fed, and loaded with souvenirs. In the evening, reward yourself with a well-deserved cocktail as the locals come out to play.
