I stayed in a girls dorm with 8 beds for 2 nights. Fortunatelly, I only shared it with 2 more girls, so the quiality of sleep was OK. It has a shared bathroom inside the dorm, but they don't offer towels and hot water never worked. Singapure is a very expensive city, but this hotel seemed overpriced to me anyways,... More

We stayed for 2 nights at the Econ Inn whilst in Singapore and were over all impressed. The staff were helpful arranging taxis, printing boarding cards, leaving our bags there when we arrived early etc. The location was very good. The room was a little bit dated, but for the price and location in Singapore was still excellent and to... More

I coundlt agree more with most of the review of this hotel. This hotel is dirty and like me, if you're travelling by bus and MRT, you just couldnt find this hotel. Even if you takes a cab, the taxi driver also dont even know where the hell is this hotel. By some luck i manage to find this hotel,... More

If I hadn't arrived so late, would have found somewhere else! The first room they tried to get me to stay in was covered in mould and smelt so bad it made me sick as well as not being able to breathe properly so they changed my room, 2nd room wasn't as bad but still bedroom walls covered in mould,... Sorry, for lately review I stayed Econ Inn on Aug, 2011. The location was perfect near by MRT, China town for cheap souvenir, cheap and delicious food. But very problem is the room very dark not the air flow no window when I slept I dont know the real time. The price not value the money. Not stay again.

This is our first time travelling to Singapore. The room is very small without window but air conditioner is doing well. You can access wifi in your room. The bathroom was nice, clean and there is hot water. We have no problem with the room because we were too busy to think about our holiday and we were only there... More

My hubby and me drove to Singapore from Malaysia on 24 Jan 2013 on a 4D3N trip.It was a last minute plan thus we had to do last minute hotel booking. To our surprise, most hotels were already booked for the day and luckily (not so lucky upon seeing the condition of the hotel room though). We were left with no option... More

Location is not bad but the place is not that close to the Marina as it seems from the map. The place was smelly and dirty. The room was very small with no windows. It had moulded walls and awful bathroom. The A/C was pouring water over the bed during the night. Consider other options in Chinatown or try in... More

Stayed with another 3 members and overall the rooms were average, kinda dark as it does not have a window. Booked 2 standard room and the manager asked if we wanted a free upgrade to a family room (which cost more than price of 2 standard rooms). We agreed to the room and the room was kinda spacious. Cleanliness or... More

Staying in Chinatown

Neighborhood Profile
Chinatown
Chinatown is a classic combination of colorful sights, enticing smells, and sometimes startling sounds. The precinct is unique, however, in its blending of religions and cultures. A Hindu temple, an Islamic mosque, and a Chinese Buddhist temple sit almost side by side. This sense of cultural harmony continues as you venture just outside of Chinatown to the nightlife areas of Club Street and Duxton Hill. There you’ll mingle with Singapore’s multicultural residents at the modern bars and restaurants dotting the bustling streets. An afternoon in and around Chinatown will leave you culturally enlightened, well fed, and loaded with souvenirs. In the evening, reward yourself with a well-deserved cocktail as the locals come out to play.
