Albeit a short stay I really enjoyed it. The atmosphere is very cosy, relaxing and unique, you feel at home. Staff super duper nice and cute, all necessary utilities like laundry, shower, lockers right beside your bed that fit cabin luggage, etc are available for free. The rooms looks and feel fresh. I can also say that while I was... More

We stayed in a 6 bed mixed dorm. Room was basic but as expected. All clean but no fancy stuff. Rooms and elevator were locked with room card which kinda made this place feel secure. I liked that you have to get your shoes off at the entrance/just outside the elevator. Reception staff was friendly and helpful. You can leave... More

I was at five stones from the 20 th - 24th July . Saying anything would be less . It was much much more than what I paid . No star property could offer more . Thank you so much . A very friendly and smiling staff and located at the heart of Singapore . I will visit again and... More

My husband and I stayed here in a double room for three nights. The location is a plus, near Clarke Quay and the waterfront. It’s easy to walk to the water, MRT, shopping centres, pubs and food outlets. Make sure to have cash handy when you check in, as there is a $20 key deposit payable in cash only. The... More

Stayed in this hostel for 4 nights in June and loved every minute of it. It is a very reasonable price, is close to the major areas, and is clean and comfortable. The only thing I noticed was that it was a little far from the metro (I think around 12 minutes) and when we arrived it was strenuous carrying... More

I had a great experience in this hostel, location is amazing, clarke quay is really walkable. The hostel is very clean and the staff is very friendly. The only negative thing are the bathrooms that are a bit small and located in a different floor of the hostel

We stayed here twice three months apart and on both occasions we had no complaints (apart from getting poor directions the first time round). Breakfast is simple but good- and you can just about eat as much toast with spreads as you want. Hot/cold water dispenser means tea/coffee all day long but also loved being able to fill up our... Great location in the middle of the sights in Singapore, short walk from Clarke quay underground station. Room is clean and tidy and the hostel as as whole has a querky feel to it with the art work and colour scheme. Not entirely sure whether 3 showers per sex is sufficient even at 11pm I had to wait for a... More

Stayed at this hostel for one night each in a standard double and superior double room. The prices are a shock to the system for those travelling around SE-Asia but for Singapore it seems reasonable. The rooms were comfortable and clean, albeit small compared to other hostels I've been to. Note that they only have communal shower/toilet facilities but these... More

This was our first hostel in Singapore, but since staying at others it was definitely our favourite. Our mixed dorm of six was great, good facilities and breakfast, and the staff were wonderful! Really recommend, from 3 happy Brits

Staying in Kampong Glam

Neighborhood Profile
Kampong Glam
This traditionally Malay enclave of Singapore offers an alluring array of shops, cafes, and bars. A walk down Haji Lane offers quirky shopping, while one block over, Arab Street is a treasure trove of brightly colored fabrics, clothing, and Turkish rugs. Stop for a leisurely coffee or cocktail and watch local kids play traditional games along the lane. Also home to the Malay Heritage Center and one of Singapore’s most prominent mosques (Sultan Mosque), Kampong Glam is a must-visit for a tantalizing taste of Malay life in this city.
