I had a great experience in this hostel, location is amazing, clarke quay is really walkable. The hostel is very clean and the staff is very friendly. The only negative thing are the bathrooms that are a bit small and located in a different floor of the hostel

We stayed here twice three months apart and on both occasions we had no complaints (apart from getting poor directions the first time round). Breakfast is simple but good- and you can just about eat as much toast with spreads as you want. Hot/cold water dispenser means tea/coffee all day long but also loved being able to fill up our... Great location in the middle of the sights in Singapore, short walk from Clarke quay underground station. Room is clean and tidy and the hostel as as whole has a querky feel to it with the art work and colour scheme. Not entirely sure whether 3 showers per sex is sufficient even at 11pm I had to wait for a... More

Stayed at this hostel for one night each in a standard double and superior double room. The prices are a shock to the system for those travelling around SE-Asia but for Singapore it seems reasonable. The rooms were comfortable and clean, albeit small compared to other hostels I've been to. Note that they only have communal shower/toilet facilities but these... More

This was our first hostel in Singapore, but since staying at others it was definitely our favourite. Our mixed dorm of six was great, good facilities and breakfast, and the staff were wonderful! Really recommend, from 3 happy Brits

The hostel is nice and trendy. Breakfast is provided. Room and shower area are clean and well-maintained. Bus stop is located just right in front of the hostel, but hostel is located quite a distance from mrt station, probably 10 minutes walking distance.

We stayed here for 6 nights during the last week of CNY celebration. We booked private double room with shared bathroom. There were 2 levels. Room was small, bed was not great - just ok, wifi great in room. Lighting in room was a but dim but ok. Lounge area was fun to hang out if desired. Kitchen was small... More

I've never stayed in the hostel before, so honestly I was a litle bit nervous to see how it would turn up. I was stayed for 3 days and booked a room share with 14 people...like an army I supposed. But it was turn up I love it, the hostel was clean and the bed was OK. I definetely will... More

A very cosy and friendly place to stay. Staff are ever helpful, happy to put up with my many questions, never get frustrated and always ready to show your location on map, am sure will not get such service anywhere like Five Stone. The location is the best advantage and the place is clean and safe. Three minute walk to... More

For the budget value you pay, you get almost everything included the breakfast! I love the separately concept of the female and male washroom, which female privacy is the hard thing you can get in a hostel. You will have no doubt of the cleanliness of the hostel. Whenever time we were in the hostel, the cleaner was there on... More

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Singapore's best and friendliest hostel! With each of our rooms featuring interesting designs, Five Stones Hostel gives Singapore cultural elements a refreshing new lease of life. Quirky designs and decor characterize our spanking new boutique hostel. Boasting one of the best beds among Singapore hostels (8 inch orthopaedic spring mattresses, no less) and conveniently located within 10mins walking distance to the majority of Singapore's key tourist attractions, it's the latest addition to the plethora of high quality budget accommodation in Singapore which blurs the line between hostel and hotel. ... more   less
