Good welcome after Train trip from airport to Bugis Station then short fifteen minute walk to the hostel. Was looking to a good nights sleep, unfortunately the young ladies with their persistent use of the hair dryer and their insistence on leaving the bathroom door open, prevented a good nights sleep until after midnight. Not helpful when you are looking... More

I was so impressed with the location. It's not bang slap in the middle of little India and not too central to the busy area of the city. It's a 5 min walk to little India which is really cool, nice people. Bugis station is just round the corner, so handy (anyone who does what we did and went the... More

We are both over 50 but felt at ease in this clean friendly good locations hostel. Warm welcome, lovely room, basic but free breakfast, helpful staff. Slight mix up over pre-authorisation if card, but soon explained. Water in room, towels provided, good air con, pretty room but no window Only negative is the bathrooms: ladies and gents not on same... More

We arrived at Singapore at around 11:00 pm and are quite tired from the 5-8 minutes walk from bugis station mrt. The front desk staff welcomed us warmly, accommodated us quickly and showed us our rooms. The rooms were nice and had some paintings on them which showed different cultures and practices throughout Asia (i think), the rooms were cozy... More

I love this hostel...I was there 2011 when it was located at Clarke Quay but the place now is also very nice. It is easy going around, so you can walk or take the MRT or bus. Nearest MRT is Nicoll Highway, not Bugis but even this is very close. We stayed in the 10 bed dorm what we usually never... More

Comfortable hostel in a great location. Walking distance to Little India and some of the lovely remaining older shophouses. Close and very convenient for public transport, hawker food centre, cafes, shopping and sightseeing. Basic toast/cereal breakfast provided. Friendly and helpful staff. Stayed in a private double room with a very comfortable bed. Some hooks for hanging clothes on in the... More

Stayed here in June 2013 (a loooonnng pending review, sorry about that) to Singapore. It was very neat and clean and the people were very friendly. They provide free wi-fi. The location is excellent; come downstairs and you can get a bus....walk a short distance and you have the metro station. There are also a lot of restaurants nearby. Overall,... More

On arrival the staff were very quick to organise the group. As there was 36 of us and after a long day of travelling we just wanted to check in. They organised our rooms efficiently and we were on about way. There is a staircase or a lift up to your room and the whole place is lovely and clean.... More

Staying in Kampong Glam

Neighborhood Profile
Kampong Glam
This traditionally Malay enclave of Singapore offers an alluring array of shops, cafes, and bars. A walk down Haji Lane offers quirky shopping, while one block over, Arab Street is a treasure trove of brightly colored fabrics, clothing, and Turkish rugs. Stop for a leisurely coffee or cocktail and watch local kids play traditional games along the lane. Also home to the Malay Heritage Center and one of Singapore’s most prominent mosques (Sultan Mosque), Kampong Glam is a must-visit for a tantalizing taste of Malay life in this city.
