I recently stayed here for 3 nights with my friend. To start with the hostel is so close to Chinatown mrt station, you come out of the station and it's less than a minutes walk on the right. The hostel has a market directly outside the hostel where you can buy souvenirs, there are so many to choose from. It's... More

The 5Footway Inn in Chinatown is a very average tourist accommodation at the lower end of the price scale. While very basic, it features great aircon and decent WiFi. The tiny bunk bed rooms are certainly no place you will want to spend your time at. The shared bathroom facilities are mouldy. Two factors speak in favor for this guest... More

Love the cozy room that have good bed, linen, locker with lock. The staff was friendly, it have baggage storage so we can put down our bags before check in and after check out time. For female dorm is good because it have own "Female only" toilet. Another good is very near with Chinatown MRT station, just go out to... More

Showed up here with a friend without a booking as had just walked out a previous horrible hostel. Staff were very friendly and accommodating and found us two beds straight away! The dorm room for 6 was very modern and clean and bed was very comfy! Bathrooms were average but not the worst I've seen! Unfortunately a person in our... More

I spent here 2 nights, the location is very smart, cause in Pagoda street u can find tons of nice restaurants. The metro station is right next to it and u are right in the middle of the Chinese quarter so just enjoy it. Small but clean room, just dont get there with a hug and heavy bag cause there... More

Singapore is a very expensive city, so this hostel is kind of a great deal. Right next to the metro stop in Chinatown. Internet works well (even though in our building it didn't work last night). The hostel is quite clean and the breakfast is not the best, but it is included and you can have as much as you... More

The only good thing about this hostel is location. And delicious coffee, but thats about it. I booked a 4-bed superior room and was put into a room smaller than our bathroom at home. It was freezing cold because of air con and smelled really bad, guy already sleeping in had closed window (no musquito net!), I cant imagine sleeping... More

The hostel's location is really good. (super!!!!!:-)) and breakfast is quite a good. But shower booth's smell is really bad and there is a lot of mold. I think if you don't bothering about toilet or cleaning thing's this hostel will be best hostel to you.

Staying in Chinatown

Neighborhood Profile
Chinatown
Chinatown is a classic combination of colorful sights, enticing smells, and sometimes startling sounds. The precinct is unique, however, in its blending of religions and cultures. A Hindu temple, an Islamic mosque, and a Chinese Buddhist temple sit almost side by side. This sense of cultural harmony continues as you venture just outside of Chinatown to the nightlife areas of Club Street and Duxton Hill. There you’ll mingle with Singapore’s multicultural residents at the modern bars and restaurants dotting the bustling streets. An afternoon in and around Chinatown will leave you culturally enlightened, well fed, and loaded with souvenirs. In the evening, reward yourself with a well-deserved cocktail as the locals come out to play.
